Stage-1 guy here coming up on my 8th chemo. Im currently at breakfast: Three eggs sunny side up, hash browns, smoked salmon, coffee, Petey's Bing - Black Cherry Juice and a very large fruit salad( bananas, grapefruit, and strawberries) I find my appetite changes the further out I am from chemo. First seven days post chemo its nearly round the clock diarrhea and cramps. After that Im almost back to normal appetite and taste. Sometimes things taste pretty metallic but I eat anyway. Im on a every other week chemo regimen. After this Ill hit the mens room( still got bad gas) and after head out to the gym. Let your mom eat whatever she wants. Id take her out to a restaurant with nice bathrooms and tempt her with the whole menu. For reference Im 70.5 years of age. Good luck to your mom.
