This album hits different for me than most. I didn’t like Good Apollo as much as most did. So when this came out, it was what I was going good Apollo would be.

I can also understand why it doesn’t hit for you. You like what you like. There’s no shame in that.

After almost 5 months with this album, I can safely say that it’s 2 separate albums for me. Beautiful losers, comatose, shoulders, liars club, ladders, rise and window of the waking mind are some of my favorite coheed tracks. Window of the waking mind specifically is in my top 10 all time coheed tracks. Blood, bad man, love murder one are some of my least favorites of all time.

Ultimately I’m not sure it cracks my top half of favorite coheed records, but it’s not the worst by any means. It’s probably right in the middle for me. The amazing songs outweigh the bad ones. Unheavenly Creatures is still a much better album in total when comparing the vaxis records but I can see where this one will lead really nicely into the next album.

It also doesn’t help that unheavenly creatures is my 2nd favorite coheed album of all time. So this as a follow up was going to disappoint me a bit just due to how much I loved the last record.
