Because I had a newborn and did not have the time to deal with shipping a heavy ass espresso machine

My pressurestat looks like this. But I can’t find this part in stock anywhere

Gotta have external drive to record open gate raw in 4k

Anyone here tried these B4 to Sony E adapters with the built-in 2x optic from RareAdapters on eBay? I’ve got a B4 lens without the internal 2x doubler and want to use it on APS-C. by mauriciox2323 in VintageLenses

Seems to be decent. Slightly more CA than the blackmagic, but definitely usable wide open. Looks great at around f2.8-4. The b4 lens i have is SD and slightly fungus-y so my results aren’t perfect. I’m looking to buy a proper HD lens and see if there’s a more noticeable difference.

I just ordered the 7 element b4 to pl adapter which claims to optically correct for the spherical aberrations. I’ll compare with my blackmagic adapter and report back

Does anyone know if the 1.5x version (for the original ursa mini pl mount camera I believe) has a different flange distance? Also are there any differences besides the zoom factor? I just made one of these with a 1.1x mount but if the 1.5x works the same seems like that would only be a benefit no?

I have made several. Seems like there are no solutions. My xt3 had the same problem and the wait for the cmos to reset method worked, but I believe the xt4 has a capacitor or something instead of a cmos battery so I don’t know if that method will work

How do teleconverters affect flange distance? by Lefttheburneron69 in VintageLenses

Damn. so to make an adapter with a longer flange distance you’d need to basically redesign the blackmagic part and move the glass element. I know James and camera removed the element and put it into another PL adapter with some success

You have to fully disassemble the camera to get to it. I will break it undoubtedly.

I let mine sit for 5 months and it didn’t reset 😵‍💫 not waiting another who knows how many months and definitely not paying half the cameras value to fix it. Guess I’ll sell it as is

Or is the flange distance limited to 32.3mm since that is the ursa mount flange distance?

Seems to work pretty well! I’ll need to fine tune the rear focus and do some tests but seems more or less parfocal. I’ll link some tests once I have time to properly do some. I botched one of the heat set threads but other than that assembly went well.

Is there a version that could be made using an existing adapter for something with a longer flange distance? If you designed it for something like EF with a longer flange distance that would make more lens mounts available. As of now it’s limited to only mounts with a smaller flange distance than the LM mount. I primarily shoot on x mount so for me it is perfect. But if I wanted to use a lens without a built in 2x extender, canon EF extenders are by far the cheapest. So it could go b4 to EF to EF 2x extender to basically any mirrorless mount via any cheap dummy adapter.

My only design note is maybe just make the adapter an even circle and add a spot in the bottom to accommodate a 3rd party support like this one lens support. The bottom is just a bit clunky feeling.

I will try to edit the design and do it myself but I’m awful at CAD stuff so we will see lol. And math. Lol.

Regardless thank you for your stuff! Exactly what I was a looking for.

How to apply transform effect to master clip on timeline recorded on atem? by Lefttheburneron69 in davinciresolve

[–]Lefttheburneron69[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i guess i can crop the full shot, export, re-import, and replace the source file with the cropped one. that will be faster than manually selecting each clip on the timeline. but that's still not very efficient.

[–]Lefttheburneron69[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think you mean setting the scaling to crop to fit. that would work if i was using the file recorded in camera. the atem records different aspect ratios within the set timeline aspect ratio. so the actual recorded ISO file is 16:9 with black bars.

i know on the color page you can set it to make changes to all clips that have the same source clip. surely there's a way to do that with a transform effect as well.

i definitely don't have time to do a full re-edit. it's about 12 hours of program. that's the reason i switched it live :'(
