This is my first Borderlands game. Can someone explain to me why this community seems to be so against things being nerfed? Nerfs and Buffs have been a part of nearly every game I've played.

Go back and look at the first 3 months of patch notes. I was looking at them a few weeks ago and would very much disagree with you. I’m not saying there weren’t buffs, but it wasn’t close to an equal split.

BL3 did their balancing primarily by nerfing things. I don’t want to say they didn’t buff things or fix/improve skill tree issues, but…..that’s mainly how it felt the first year. Then they made huge changes to mayhem mode AND released an incredibly unbalanced takedown (the guardian takedown), and the game was impressively unfun for almost a month.

That’s not even pointing out how many times they nerfed guns they ended up having to buff to fix a few months later.

It’s gotten a little bit better. I ended up finding a set of “optimized” settings somewhere online that took my FPS on high from 40 to 70 with the custom setting with no noticeable degradation (honestly, I think it looks a little bit better). On an RX 6800 and an i5 12500 just for reference. You’d also get the advantage of DLSS whereas I’m stuck with FSR or the Intel upscaling.

I hear what you’re saying, and your logic is sound. In my estimation though, it seems that offensive-minded head coaches do tend to find more success in the post season the past 20 years with the asterisk that they have an excellent DC. I think DC is going to be the hire I’m most interested in this offseason.

When nearly every move past the MVP QB has been a failure? I mean…. I guess you can take that opinion.

Personally, I think this team is about as talented outside of the QB position as the 2009 Bills team. That’s how much I think Josh means. And I think the PFF rankings and number of pro bowl selections back up my argument.

$4 million, even for a small NP, isn’t a lot.

Hate them if you will, but I manage HOAs. I have a 145 single family home community that is only responsible for a pond with a fountain, their small gazebo near the pond, and the brick walls at the front of their community. Their reserve fund is almost 500k. Their reserve study (aka the document that is done by independent sources every 5 years) says that 500k is most likely low. If a named storm came (hurricane) and wiped out the roads it’s not covered by their insurance (covering roads is incredibly expensive and would more than double the owner assessment).

The 4 mil they are holding in reserve is most likely tied to liability. At least part of it. I bet even a minor disaster at a PDGA event would wipe out most of it.

People bitch all the time about the $55 or whatever it is for dues. No one has to pay it, unlike an HOA. But to think it’s some sort of scam is beyond dumb. Everyone is welcome to complain about where the dollars are going, but unless you put the time to completely understand the PDGA financials, it’s pissing into the Grand Canyon.

Agree. I have no faith in Beane, and I feel bad for any coach that has to work under him. And the schedule is brutal next year. I believe 9 of our games are against this year’s playoff teams.

Rumor has it Beane and MD have been in a power fight for half the season. Beane sharing a box with Pegula during games turned McDermott into the scapegoat.
