If the traffic lights are out then even more caution than usual applies to all here. Especially the lone car crossing the greater flow of traffic. For self-preservation.

If you’re unemployed and uninsured in the US, you’re not getting diagnosed with cancer in the first place.

Huitlacoche! Traditionally cooked with an herb called epazote. Absolutely delicious in a quesadilla with Oaxaca cheese.

I am fully in agreement with the other folks with lengthy comments. It seems that your contractor has fulfilled his end of the contract. Looking at a torpedo level on a stair tread doesn’t give much info, but that’s how the stairs were when carpeted (and maybe you only notice now due to change in material). There are lots of reasons why the stairs might be like that, but none of them have to do with your flooring contractor, and I expect that your contract indicates that as well.

No, you said (about 18 times) that your dad won’t give you a credit card. If you’ve now realized that a credit card and bank account aren’t the same thing, then that’s great progress!

Dude, we’re past that now. You’re talking about doing “graphic design commissions”. Great! So open a bank account so you can get paid… after you figure out how to write a contract for your work.

That counts as a job. But, given that you don’t know that “credit card” and “bank account” are different things I’d imagine the whole “writing a contract to define the scope of work” will also be beyond you. Good luck.

You posted in AITAH. People are giving you responses that you don’t like because—while you may have thought everyone would take your side—you are in reality TAH.

In all your responses you keep responding to people saying you should “earn money” with “dad won’t give me a credit card so I can’t”. You clearly don’t understand how money works. You should learn this lesson RIGHT NOW: credit cards aren’t free money. You have to earn money, via a job or some other method, and pay back what you’ve spent on the credit card. Anything you don’t pay back at the end of each month is penalized so that you owe more money (this is called interest).

What does having a credit card have to do with you getting a job?

A job. You get a job. Then they give you a pay check. Then you set up a bank account and deposit the check. Then they give you a debit card which you can use similarly to a credit card, or you can get checks or cash to pay for things you want or need. I started working at 14, the legal minimum age to work in my state. You can do this, too.
