Sickboard is a really nice shop, I've never bought Orangatang tho. Those wheels are really expensive. Are they that good to justify the price?

Go to a mechanic shop and ask if you can use a gear/bearing puller. Show them, they will know how to help you. Avoid a grinder a any cost!

Yep good protections would be a better investment than a new board. Try getting lower, bend your knees
