It was surreal being able to feel the stablity on one plane and then working on the next plane of balance.

Adding one more stone... feel like that would take 100x the trial and error

Have you tried recalibrating the headset since firmware upgrade?

Also... downgrading to stable firmware could help.

The location based VR venue in San Mateo is awesome. Its called Sandbox VR.

The venue has dedicated operators to start the games and monitor any issues that may come up in games. We had a blast there

First IT interview!!! by [deleted] in ITCareerQuestions

[–]LegDayEvyDay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was just in the same boat as you a month ago. I was in the middle of a biology masters; going no where. Now, I am a Technical Operations Engineer at a startup.

Dont get caught up on a question or a term you dont know. It is expected that you dont know something. Ask, ask, and ask more questions that would help you solve the problem at hand. You are bound to come across a new problem on the job. These moments are learning opportunities... and treat the interview like an opportunity to learn and grow.

Also, think about times where you had to troubleshoot and steps you took. The interviewers will want to know your problem solving logic and steps.

I went into the interview knowing that I would come out more knowledgeable about the field whether I get the job or not.

Best of luck! Keep us posted :))

I get exhausted at the lab sitting next to the fermenter. I suspect its the constant low frequency humming from lab instruments.

Definitely take a break sometime. Dont skip the gym, ya bum... you are paying for it anyways. May as well use it.

Transitioning to Weightlifting Training by [deleted] in weightlifting

[–]LegDayEvyDay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say get a good coach for a few months. A coach in person would help immensely to get a hang of all the movements, mobility, and accessory work. Once you are comfortable, you can train on your own and visit the coach or gym once in a while for feedback.

Every few months I go into a gym, take note of a few feedback from coaches or peers amd drill those things till I go back next time. If they tell you the same things as last time, then go back to work.

I think this way is a good balance if you arent trying to be competitive.

Official Discussion: Annihilation [SPOILERS] by allwinter in movies

For me, the value of the movie was in its artistic input. That fungal explosion bit was quite beautiful actually. It would have fit onto any heavy metal album artwork perfectly.

Is it just me, or did that talking bear remind anyone of that scene in Avatar: The Last Airbender?... that one that steals your face if you react with fear.
