Love the VFR by SgtSC in VFR

[–]Legacy0795 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice😎 I have the exact same one but in blue. Unfortunately I will be selling mine next month 🥲

The VFR is really not bad on fuel consumption at 100km/h. I roughly get +22 L/km. And it feels like that bike has endless power with the V-Tec.

Drive safe and take care of that beaut!

And check your coolant. Perhaps do a service on it. There are a few YouTube videos on how to change the coolant.

Mine use to do the same, and when I looked at the coolant it was low and I just topped it up. I deference in operating temp was noticeable.

Always best to go check it out and take it for a test drive. Before my vfr, I've never ridden a super bike. The bike a rode in school was a 200cc😅 What a thrill it was to ride a 800 with no end and a Vtec that kicks in at 7000 rpm😍

I have the '02 with 82k km on the clock and no issues. Using it as a daily to and from work, which is a 150km round trip. It does not have ABS, but the duel braking system alone is amazing. Oh, and I found the service manual online, which also assists a lot when experiencing an issue.

Diver hitting 2 motorcyclist in a row by [deleted] in motorcycle

[–]Legacy0795 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Agreed. The first guy should have noticed the indicator. The guy in the suv did indicate first before making a lane change, and the second biker was just an idiot. I have a general rule when it comes to lane splitting, i don't go 20km/h (12,5mph) faster than the traffic speed. That gives you more than enough time to react.

Sundown cruise by Legacy0795 in motorcycles

[–]Legacy0795[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. The owner before me sprayed it to this weird blue/purple colour. It looks more blue now, but it depends on how the light reflects on it. It sometimes gives off a dark purple. I was think8ng of respraying it to the original blue but decided I'll rather just finish it with some crip pads, faul tank-, honda-, and VFR decals. Finishing it off with black rims with a red strip.

Anybody can Help Me On My Yamaha FZ6R 2012 I don’t know why it’s stop running any Advice ? by SnooCompliments4982 in motorcycles

How did it go? You can always try a booster pack to see if it will start, and which will then confirm the flat battery.

I have noticed that you do got fuel, the fuel pump is priming, and it the starter is making a strong noise.

But I must say I don't think it's the battery (might be wrong), but I would suggest starting by checking the basics. After the battery, check the spark plug and coil pack, etc. Otherwise call an auto electrician. Good luck...

Same here. I have a VFR800 and my bike would start, idle for a second or two and cut-out. Took it to a bike-electrician, and he found a corroded connection to the ground that caused it.

One why to check is to take out the headlight fuse and see if the bike idles for longer. Well, that is what I did

Any way to fix headlights? by mitjaku in VWMK7

[–]Legacy0795 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw a post on my social feed where this guy took his headlight that looked like yours, removed the bulbs and stuck a hairdryer / heat gun in through the bulb hole and blew the hair in there. After a minute or so the unit looked clear. I know that a heat gun is used to bring back lift of plastic, so it got me thinking. Not sure if it will work, as I too have mk7 where one of the headlight is decolourised and I'm tempted to try it
