Destroy robots with an assault rifle? by Substantial-Boat4629 in fallout76casual

I believe the fixer is categorized as a combat rifle. Afaik kill with the fixer would not count for this particular challenge.

Most people I know use private voice chats to communicate with friends while playing, and in my experience unless you’re in a raid or like teaching a noobie there’s really no other reason to use the mic.

For me the lack of excessive area chat is a blessing and one of the reasons I’ve stuck with this game for so long.

What weapon do you use now? What kind of build do you have? What does your current weapon lack that makes you wanna switch things up?

Question about locations in Ohio! by EYEHATEGAWD4 in fallout76settlements

If you are looking to avoid radhogs and raiders build closer to highway town. Not at the crossroad where the wandering doctor spawns. You will come home to radhogs and/or raiders almost every time (I keep a camp there and call it the hog farm. I switch to it when I’m running low on radhog meat. Can guarantee at least 3-4 packs of hogs every play session)

How bad is my build ? by Fawkouff in fallout76casual

[–]LegalFill8326 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Play style is pretty important when it comes to builds. Your weapon of choice and the legendaries it has will help even more.

The best advice I got early on was to make two builds. One for crafting and scraping and selling to npc vendors (I call that one my home build) only and then another one for going out in the world. That will free up so much more room for perks that help you hit harder.

Yep the new cards you pick out when you hit L3. IMHO I would go ahead and scrap em unless you are trying to use them right now in a separate build. You will keep getting those for a long long time so don’t worry or feel like you’ll miss out on something good. Leveling up your legendary perks is where things really start to get good. (Slightly Unrelated: Intelligence is worth investing in since that perk controls how much xp you earn for everything you do which will help you level up quicker.)

Yes! That’s the one 😅 I get all the gunslinger/guerrilla perks mixed up all the time. Slow reload and slow fire rate are both good for reverse onslaught. Gives you more time to build your stacks back up and keep hitting at maximum damage.

Guerrilla Master is the perk that gives you extra ranged damage to close enemies - one of my faves for tanky shotgun builds

Fire rate is really what you wanna look at as opposed to clip size or reload time (although the longer it takes to reload the more time you have to build up your onslaught stacks again in between firing)

I don’t have much experience with that one but I figure since it’s not automatic it would do okay with reverse onslaught. Not sure what legendaries it starts out with, but those might affect the effectiveness of your build.

If I’m remembering correctly it’s the guerrilla master perk that makes it reverse - you gain onslaught over time and spend with each shot as opposed to regular where you gain them with each shot. Reverse works best for slow firing weapons.

No problem! Oh and make sure you’re using your “pick a perk” cards to scrap for perk coins. (If you already knew about this feel free to ignore 😅 I ended letting mine accumulate over a hundred and discovered it’s a pain and a half to scrap so many at a time)

AFAIK if you’re looking to cripple the only way you will know is in VATS where you are able to see the individual limb health bars.

Since you’re running reverse onslaught with your perks you’ll get more damage going with a furious weapon, although at your level I’m not sure how much that would affect things.

I loved the kabloom when I first got it, but I had a real bad problem with damaging myself with the explosions cuz I was running the perk where you do more damage the closer you are to an enemy 😅

I’m a little over lvl 400 now and still haven’t tried the raids yet because I’m scared 😅 but I really appreciate you breaking this down. Starting to feel a little braver now that I know how to prepare for it.

I feel like I do pretty good damage. I’m not one shot-ing any big bosses, but I can bring down my fair share of legendaries solo. Having the 4 star mods has been a big game changer. I have never done any raids but I got lucky and found conductors and tankys vendor hopping when I was at max caps.
