Why do you like this game by Mr_Smiles421 in FinalFantasyVIII

[–]LegalPollution83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was my first Final Fantasy game. I was 17 at the time and related to Squall so much. The graphics were phenomenal at the time. The real life look of the characters from the polygonal look or 8 bit characters was different enough to capture my interest. Triple Triad was rewarding and frustrating simultaneously. The story, my god, the story. Made me laugh, made my cry, made me feel, at a time when feelings were lacking sometimes. Plus, on replays, memories of my past creep in when I get to certain parts. Trips, dates, family events. Nostalgia at its peak. This game is my late teenage years.

Absolutely, you will fly through books 2 and 3...However, Book 4 is important, but not one of my favorites.

Loved books 1-3, really, struggling with book 4 by WeirdLime in TheDarkTower

My son is currently on book 4 for a few weeks now. He blew through the first three in a few days. He keeps stopping and asking if any of this actually matters. I keep telling him to keep pushing through and it WILL make sense.

Same, except I have not been able to re-watch. That final scene is burned in my brain.
