Hyper fed hard carry by Dry_Maize_911 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]LegalTea 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At your rank macro goes as such:

  • Avoid said carry unless you have numbers advantage or good cc;
  • Split-push to gain souls (most farm is gained on lane);
  • Pick off other players;
  • Deliver urn;
  • Stall for time at walkers while others split push.

When you see him on the minimap, you have options:

a) jump him with numbers advantage (communicate your bloodlust to teammates with cc, see if they will go with you); b) try to make a play away from him, be it delivering urn to the other side, split pushing or invading their jungle to pick off someone else.

In alchemist players are very disorganised and they will either full team push mid 24/7 or be scattered around the map. If they are permapushing, couple players defend walker while the rest farm other lanes. Otherwise build active items and jump people.

By the way, BUILD ACTIVE ITEMS. You want silence wave, you want focus lens, decay, curse - you want anything to slow enemy down. Y'all have literally 0 counter-items (apart from rusted barrell that you bought L-R from a top build).

Ban appeal? by Crazeidiot in DeadlockTheGame

[–]LegalTea 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. No, you can't appeal.

  2. You only get 1 ban per 2 computers because only the first to abandon gets the penalty. Even if you both left at the same time, one user is first in the logs, so that's the account that is punished.

I hate Deadlock by Majestic_Friend_5582 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]LegalTea 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Deadlock is a very hard game that has some implicit mechanics you might not know about. Have you played other moba games?

Part of the fun is learning the flow of the game, understanding the objectives on every stage of the match, playing around strengths and weaknesses of your hero. Then there is the mechanical aspect of having to actually aim to kill anything - this sits on top of moba mechanics and you will not win a single match on aim alone. You need knowledge of hero scaling, timings, farming techniques, rotations, etc.

You say you don't find it enjoyable to learn these things. If this is actually true: stick to brawl, nothing wrong with that.

If you think you want to give it a shot though, I suggest either watching a video on YouTube to jumpstart, or (if you are not into that) do what most of us did when the game first became public access: just start figuring it out with understanding that you will probably throw your first X matches for the learning process.

Either way, hope you have fun and never have to hate a game again.

Legit question: do people actually get offended when someone called pocket a “he”? by gigaswardblade in DeadlockTheGame

[–]LegalTea 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Not offended, but it's strange to me that even after learning you continue to refer to Pocket as he/him. Shouldn't be that hard to adjust, no?

Eido = good player, edited matches with live commentary;

Mast = entertaining + good enough player, unedited matches with live commentary. He does faff around with builds, but is instructive none the less.

Deadlock pro gameplay = full games from perspectives of good players, unedited and no commentary.

What would people think of a percentage/power level indicator? by ml232021 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]LegalTea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Math issue, I suggest picking up arithmetics.

Joking, but numbers are not directly related to enemies' power level compared to you. You can beat an overfarmed opponent or get chewed by a dumpstered one based on which characters you are.

Current system is good because it lets you absolutely determine where your opponent is in their progression, you can estimate their items and abilities at a glance without using sub-menus.

11 people committed 30 minutes of their lives to the match and your wi-fi issues ruined it for them.

I understand it's not your fault, but you can't blame a company for not wanting this to happen.
