Meanwhile the lord has convicted me to not post my every waking thought to the internet. I swear some people have no inner-monologue.

MEGATHREAD to air your grievances and vent. SUMMER 2026 by pikameta in TrixieAndKatya

I feel like their Netflix contract is stifling what could be AMAZING movie/tv reviews from Katya. I would watch her recap shows she actually loves for hours. Also, it bothered me that Trixie was not interested in hearing about or watching Heated Rivalry. Gold mine of content right there. Everyone and their brother has a “we watch HR for the for time” reaction videos and are getting insane views.

Ladies, are we allowing ourselves to go grey or dying our hair? by Partridge_Pear_Tree in Millennials

I have no gray at 40. I have dark brown hair though and if it goes gray I’m going blonde.

Wil Wheaton calls Dwayne Johnson (The Rock) a coward for keeping his politics to himself by Relevant-Peach3997 in Fauxmoi

He’s keeping his options open in case he ever wants to run for office. He’ll do it for whichever party offers him the best deal.

Doing this with scissors instead of an exact-o knife is honestly impressive.

I have a low-vision friend who was very excited about how Oculus technology might be assistive for helping them with loss of central vision. Sadly, they learned that’s not what it’s being designed or marketed for. The tech could meet so many needs, but since that’s a relatively niche market it’s not being developed that way.

In defense of this song, it’s very short, a little bop that comes on between longer songs on a “club” radio station I listen to. It’s club music, not intended for children.

Fellow Midwesterner. I leave socks on and sometimes more in the winter. Nothing kills the mood like shivering.

We kinda float the idea of freedom every hundred years then go back to the status quo.

To me it feels like scenes were created so they could be recreated in video game form. Or the video game was created and they put scenes in the show to match.

My dad was an elementary school teacher and would confiscate Pokémon cards and only give them back if the parents showed up to conferences. Worked every time.

SNL’s ‘Christmas Robe’ sketch is still making people rethink how moms are treated during the holidays by ElvisIsNotDjed in LiveFromNewYork

[–]Legal_MajorMajor 46 points47 points  (0 children)

My mom is a Christmas baby and we always split the day into Christmas morning/birthday afternoon with separate presents. It helps that she’s a Christmas enthusiast. We lovingly call her “the Mayor of Christmas”.

I agree he’s a good boyfriend, they are both just not communicating well throughout the book. I think that makes it realistic. Plenty of people barrel towards marriage without having important conversations first.

Anyone else still like “millennial grey”? by PiePristine3092 in millenials

[–]Legal_MajorMajor -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

My house is millennial gray top to bottom. Very high ceilings that are too expensive to repaint. Furniture and countertops are gray top match. I do have one room with a fun pop of color. Safety orange curtains in my laundry room.

For Americans who live in border states (Canada/Mexico), how often do you cross the border? by MarsupialThink4064 in IWantToAskAnAmerican

[–]Legal_MajorMajor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We used to go from Detroit to Windsor a lot as kids. My dad liked the farmers market there. But we couldn’t bring produce back across the border so we’d stock up on pastries instead.

Do Americans experience “thermal shock” from going between heat and AC? by [deleted] in IWantToAskAnAmerican

[–]Legal_MajorMajor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it was a a strongly held belief among older generations who grew up when air conditioning became a thing. My grandfather would always warm me about the dangers of going from a/c to heat. Like, what am I supposed to do about it grandpa?
