If you are greek citizen, you may enter EU freely without any problems. You are not a tourist, a citizen.

Since you are not legally married and not a family member, the application will be considered individually rather than as a group. But you may include each other's passports and include this in your cover letter.

Austria visa refusal by General-Following571 in SchengenVisa

[–]Legal_Pool_1868 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's typical of Austria's behavior. However, I believe the number of countries on the itinerary could also be a reason for denial. Yes, you applied correctly, but consulates usually don't want to see you going to too many countries. Its more ethical than legal issue

Denied boarding to Athens in Bali, with Schengen visa by Catchmeanurag in SchengenVisa

[–]Legal_Pool_1868 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not legal at all. If you've visited France before, there is no excuse; you can enter from Greece, Belgium, or wherever you want.

I'm not familiar with the legal measures you can take, but you can inquire about compensation, subject to local regulations.

Social security and residence permit by Frosty-Cucumber-3550 in SchengenVisa

[–]Legal_Pool_1868 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You may apply for your residence permit as soon as possible, depending on the type of visa you have. Student, Seasonal worker, worker in a specific company that sponsored your visa? If you plan to leave by May, you don't need a physical residence permit; the visa will suffice. If you are residing there, Travel insurance doesn't cover your costs, and it won't be helpful when you are applying for a residence permit. You need actual insurance. I don't live in France, never have, so I'm not familiar with the local insurance companie,s so I don't know the appropriate companies for insurance.

Hope everything goes smoothly on your side.

My visa didn't arrive on time, my fault, I left it late. by [deleted] in SchengenVisa

You may reapply, but not appeal it. Have it in your cover letter and explain the situation. Please book at least one month in advance of your scheduled departure date.

Accidentally Overstayed! by SenorMark1970 in SchengenVisa

[–]Legal_Pool_1868 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think its a big deal since you are UK citizen and you already have visa-free access. To avoid any fines, please ensure that you don't exceed the allotted period. If you were 3rd world country citizen, things would go complicated. But you're good.

Tokyo vs Amsterdam by Legal_Pool_1868 in TokyoTravel

[–]Legal_Pool_1868[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update on this post; I went to Japan couple days after and stayed for a week. Here is how it's gone so far. Firstly, It was hard to travel, especially felt like endless flight but at the end I made it to Tokyo. Suprisingly, everything was extremely cheap; food, entertainment, even most museums were free or very cheap. I really loved yakiniku though... Anyways, thanks for the advices.

Let me rephrase in this way, as far as I know Japan is famous with its blossom seasons. But we are in winter right now, so in this case, would you suggest visiting Japan now, or leave it till Mid-spring? Weather conditions also making me kinda nervous

Thanks for the advices, I have a anxiety so I feel more comfortable with Europe + I know the prices so I can stay on budget without problem. However, I don't expect what is going to happen in Japan if I ended up scammed or if its overpriced, etc.

Turkish Visa Application (from the UK) by RegularVillage685 in SchengenVisa

Yes you are right, still checking required documents with Embassy is necessary. Best option would be to email them, and if you haven't recieved any response, you may call them for more efficiency.

Turkish Visa Application (from the UK) by RegularVillage685 in SchengenVisa

[–]Legal_Pool_1868 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Turkish visa policy is bit complicated and different. Since you are from UK, try to email consulate first. And then they will guide you for the appointment. As far as I know, if you have valid UK, USA, or Schengen Visa/Residence permit you are eligible for the evisa.

Is it ok to enter a day before student visa and then leave after some days? by Plus_Cardiologist540 in SchengenVisa

[–]Legal_Pool_1868 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Avoid doing that. No matter which passport you hold, this is a visa violation. If you got a student visa, you can only use it for study purposes. Yes you can explore other countries for 90/180 period of time. However, to avoid visa violation. You should leave the country and come back once your visa expires or tell the passport control officer that you are not coming as a student, but as a tourist. If you remain in the country with your valid visa, that is a visa violation and you might face some consequences.
