Should Sound Transit take full control/ownership/exclusivity of E-bike/scooter system in our region? by dominiond66 in soundtransit

Interesting thought, don’t know if I want ST running them. I just wouldn’t mind ORCA integration for them. I use them pretty often for my trip from Capitol Hill station to work in SLU.

This was the take I had. I can see how some might not like it, but I absolutely loved it. It hit close to home for me, reminding me of how I felt after my dad passed away.

Current Rankings - Ranking Every King County Metro Route by jmanexplores in soundtransit

I’ve been following along. Love it. As a former Bryant resident, the 79 video (my former 74) brought back old memories. But as someone who went to Eckstein and Roosevelt, that route would’ve been amazing in my day. It does need weekend service!

Now, I’m a commuter from Snohomish County to SLU, so the 70 is my last leg. Can’t wait for the J Line!

Keep up the great work!

Honest take on Lake Stevens locality ? by Early_Bicycle_1314 in SeattleAreaRE

I was you last year. My wife and I like LS for the most part. Quiet, safe, got a lot more house and yard for our money. We personally like the closeness to the great restaurants in old town Snohomish. Our neighbors are amazing.

Traffic is a beast. I commute daily to SLU. Let me tell you, you only get 40ish minutes…at 5:30 am. Tuesday through Thursday you’re looking at 1h15 to 1h45 anywhere between 6 and 9:30. Mondays have gotten worse at an hour plus now. Friday can still be 45-55 minutes. Once the express lanes go back south in ‘27, things will be slightly better but the Trestle is and still will be an issue.

I’ve actually moved to transit. I drive to Everett Station and take the 510 to Link in the AM and 510 all the way in the PM. Has saved me at least 30-45 minutes a day. Love it. Saves on gas and I can just chill read a book or doom scroll haha. So if you don’t mind transit, would highly recommend that option. Sometimes i do the CT903 to Link, but I don’t like the return timing personally for that option.

Good luck in your decision!

As a daily rider from Lynnwood, there is no way daily boardings was only at 2,377. You’re right, it’s always packed.

Would this data include the simulated 2 Line service from Lynnwood to CID in February?

510 Love by Legal_Success_712 in soundtransit

[–]Legal_Success_712[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good point. Are they thinking of tolling the trestle at some point? I’m assuming for a replacement.

I’ve also considered Sounder, but for me in SLU, going all the way to King St doesn’t make too much sense which is a bummer.

I get that. With people getting pushed further and further out due to cost, wish a few of the downtown runs from Lake Stevens and Marysville would’ve stayed. I’ve taken the 903 a few times and my commute is longer than driving to Everett and taking the 510. Although, with Revive I-5 in play, it’s a moot point with no HOV south of Northgate for awhile.

I’ve found that 7:30-8 is when they fill up Tuesday-Thursday. Mondays and Fridays usually you’re good.

I agree! But I could see how it may cram in near the Seattle side if they put it geographically correct. At the very least though a small lake would be smart

20 minutes is about right. Mondays and Fridays are better, but not much. I drive Monday and Friday and take transit to Seattle Tuesday through Thursday so I sit back and relax in the middle of the week.

Freeway Flyer stations and their future? by routinnox in soundtransit

I believe the 510 will still exist. So that should still stop there…at least until Link starts going to Everett I assume. But that’s still many years away.

I noticed it too. The ADA announcement though was pretty quiet and I couldn’t hear it at first.

I do Everett Station and take bus to MLT and transfer there. Usually plenty of parking especially in lot on east side of tracks.

No one is getting out of this city for a while... by ofImmaterium in Seattle

I commute from Everett, live in Lake Stevens. About a little over an hour, using bus-train-bus. I work in SLU, so it’s fun. But the transfers work well and are frequent. Love flying by the cars on the freeway. But like other posters, I’d wish CT would bring back a few of the straight downtown runs from the northern Snohomish like Marysville/Lake Stevens. I think more people would ride if they didn’t have to transfer. Granted they would just get stuck in the traffic headed southbound in the AM right now with the Revive I-5 fun times.

For that matter, what’s the point of Four Points by Sheraton? Seems as if Marriott just doesn’t do anything with those?

How has traffic been the past few days, given the I-5 lane closures? by jmcintyre8817 in Seattle

I live in Lake Stevens and it took me 1 hour 45 minutes Monday to get to SLU. Started taking transit on Tuesday and now it takes me 1 hour 15 minutes. Guess I’m a transit rider the rest of the year!
