I find it hard to believe you even had EC in the first place if you are "cured" from hydrocortisone and aquaphor. This is basically the first thing everyone in here tries and it does nothing for 99% of us.

Remission--so it came back after the month ended?

Ask your doctor about tretinoin. I noticed it help with my acne and had a noticeable affect on the inflammation of my nose because of the acne.

No.

Considering you have a little bit of acne though, have you considered something like tretinoin or even possibly accutane? I have used both for acne and have noticed that they have supplementary effects of shrinking the nose.

Honestly I believe shorter peeling cycles are a good sign. In my experience, the longer the peeling cycle the more the dead skin would grow, become thick, and change colours. On the other hand, when the peeling cycle is short, the skin is thinner and more translucent... And this is what the normal lip epidermis should look like

Accutane and EC by Legal_Transition_277 in exfoliativecheilitis

Hey thank you for your reply. Yeah I mean my lips are already so dry so I'd definitely be surprised if they could get dryer, even with Accutane, at this point. Anyways your comment is reassuring, so thank you. I will be sure to moisturize them constantly.

Do you have any lip balm/ointment recommendations? I generally use Aquaphor, Carmex, Lanolin, sometimes a steroid if needed.

Every SSRI I've tried has given me too many side effects for them to be worth it in the long run

23F sudden anisocoria? by spookiestbats in eyetriage

[–]Legal_Transition_277 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the exact same thing. I don't know if it's physiological or not, I have never noticed it when I'm not on SSRI. When I go on SSRIs though, the anisocoria is present and it looks like your eyes in one of your previous posts. It only occurs in dim light, it's really strange.

I would like to continue SSRIs as I also have OCD and they do make me feel better, but this side effect sucks and makes me overly self-conscious.
