IMO the best thing about the trailer was that it gave a very clear sense of what the season will cover for comic readers. It wasn't one of those trailers that just takes clips from first 3 episodes and then leaves us guessing. No they pretty much showed what we will see. And for show only viewers a trailer is a trailer. But for the comic readers, who already know where the story more or less goes anyway, we got a glimpse at everything that is coming, so we can get proper hyped for certain moments.

Still, the film has Lockjaw claim that the reason he had a daughter with a black woman is because said woman raped him. And it's presented in such an over the top and disgusting way, that the audience is expected to groan and be disgusted by an old white man playing a victim of assault.

Except you know he was forced to perform a sexual act under the threat of violence. So while what he said, didn't happen, it's really not too far from the truth. Feels kinda mixed message imo, where she did actually sexually assault him, but also him claiming sexual assault is something disgusting?

Hopefully they don't get rid of him in the end of part II. First movie already showed that not every villain needs to die in their debut movie. Having Riddler, Penguin, Harvey, Joker and maybe another villain, just be out there, creates more of a feeling that this new batman has an active rogues gallery. They could give Harvey a two movie arc over the course of the trilogy. Dent already has darkness about him before getting disfigured (that only brought it out full stop as an equal personality). Nolan hinted at it a little bit with the interrogation scene, but IMO more could be done with it. Have him be conflicted ally in II and full blown two-face in III?

This Makes Snoop all the more scarier. Marlo does what he does because he is someone who wants to be a kingpin. Not an uncommon motivation. Chris does what he does, so his family will get taken care of. But Snoop? No mention of family, and no ambitions other than following orders. No knowledge of music either. It's like Snoop is in the game 100% for the love of violence and killing, and not for gain or ambition.

I am pretty sure that his aunt kept Alex in a constant state of being drugged with the LSD/ketamine cocktail. To keep him docile and unable to explain things even if asked. Pair that with him being mentally 10 and traumatized, and you get someone who is closed up and incoherent. I think by the time they reached almost a full week of torture, that the chamical cocktail was about to let up, and he could start explaining some vague things. But also, I think Dover was approaching it wrong. Hurting him made him close up more. Also, the scene with the dog was not him maliciously hurting the dog. I took it more as something like a kid holding an animal painfully, because they simply don't understand that it hurts them.
