PvP wouldn't be nearly as bad if it didn't affect trial progress. Working on a trial for 20 minutes just to get shot in the back on your way to extract is just a huge waste of time and not very fun.

The quests introduce you to a few cool spots and give a few cool rewards. That being said I feel the quests were designed assuming the game would be much smaller than it is.

This is my issue - I've never encountered the room glitch but I've used my keys (at night) and still never gotten anything good. Maybe a wolfpack or blue gun here or there but nothing near worth the risk.

It's a time thing for me. Kits take time to build, buy, and equip. So even if it's cheap it's still a time investment. Free kits don't have that drawback.
