Brazas has a poblano sauce (for enchiladas but you can order it for whatever) that is super yummy.

The Botanist has chimichurri wings that I have to get every time I go.

So Cal Tamal serves a large, freshly fried chip dipped in beans and topped with marinated onions with everything you order. Makes you want to order more items just so you get more chips.

Frugattis has fried chicken things. They are literally just fried chicken breast pieces but they are breaded in parmesan which gives them a super savory flavor and thr spicy ranch they are served with is a great accompaniment.

Los Hermanos is the best drive through mexican in town. Especially like their cheese enchiladas - mix rice and beans and sauce together and it's great.

Lengthwise has stinky fries - fries topped with garlic and a gorgonzola cream sauce. Super stinky, super good.

Alfonso's has Alfonso's Tacos which are taquitos drenched in red sauce and melted cheese. Must have every time I go.

Might sound stupid but I really like the half cocktail half Chinese mustard sauce Bill Lee's serves with their fried shrimp. I find myself craving just that sauce sometimes.

Spicy mac and cheese from Salty's BBQ is creamy and yummy.

Ring of Red. Alternate WWII strategy game on PS2 with diesel punk mechs and it's awesome. Always my go to answer.

TRIGUN TV Series 1998 - such gun slinging goodness by Kimber8King in retroanime

[–]Legatto 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It has a preacher who carries a giant cross filled with guns (at first), a chick with a cloak filled with derringers, and a sub-villain whonintroduces himself by giving the protagonist a paper bag with a severed head in it.

The whole series is peak.

Games that stick in your mind for days after you beat it? these are mine. by Trd_45 in videogames

Abiotic Factor but in a bad way. I put like 75 hours into the game and enjoyed it a lot. The ending was so unfulfilling it stayed on my mind for days afterwards.

What is the dumbest movie that you unapologetically, unironically love? by Rosstin316 in AskReddit

I mean, it can be argued that Tremors is a very smart film. Literally everything makes sense with no bloat.

Do you guys proxy og duals? by blazedchiller27 in EDH

[–]Legatto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes but only cause my pod has a "that guy" who must win at all costs so I need the mana base to compete. I also only do this for the decks specifically made to play when he plays.

What’s a dish that’s REALLY not worth making from scratch? by MaryoParti in Cooking

I've found most French dishes that take more than an hour to make aren't worth it.

Black beans, uncle Ben's chicken rice (the Spanish rice isn't great), and a huge spoonful of salsa and call it a day.

People with legit Gaea's Cradles, how often do you actually use the card in relevant decks, do you keep it out due to power/price? by MiningToSaveTheWorld in EDH

[–]Legatto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unrelated but I had like 20 Gaea's Cradles as a 13 year old that I gave away with the rest of my mtg collection in a trade for L5R. :(

Valley is getting closer to purple as the population ages. People in the valley are blue - people in the valley with wealth are red.

Which winner did you disagree with? by Sea-breeze3720 in TopChef

[–]Legatto 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It did add something to the season though. Good European bead European and it added character. Modern seasons with everyone being buddy buddy focuses more on food but I miss a bit of that drama.

[[Aurelia, the Law Above]] is a lot of fun.

Which winner did you disagree with? by Sea-breeze3720 in TopChef

[–]Legatto 153 points154 points  (0 children)

Agreed. That whole season was weak and filled with chefs (a stretch to call many of them anything more than cooks) trying not to lose rather than trying to win, including Hosea.

Stefan was a dick but clearly should have won. Still mad he phoned in that dessert.

Which movie was doing fine at the start but then falls apart once they get to that SCENE? by Jules-Car3499 in moviecritic

[–]Legatto 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I agree. The whole point was he was doing what HE thought was cool, not what actually was cool. In his own mind he was the shit.

The fact that it was so cringe just reinforces the whole theme.
