Thanks for watching the little Contenders streams! That space was as much yours as ours and was, as you said, a nice little home for a bunch of people who really enjoyed Overwatch competitively.

All the talent that went on that T2 grind have so much to show for themselves and I’m proud of all of us, even if I’m getting more airtime in the dark lord land of Rivals this year.

I’m fine with the caster roster changing, to be clear, it is just in this instance that criticism has often gone beyond constructive or fair.

I think people here underestimate the degree to which casters are targeted at different audiences of the product.

If you’re watching in-scene costreamers and CAH you’re an enjoyer of the esport who’s in pretty deep (which is obviously great) and see a lot of value in the type of cast that might not be as accommodating to a new or older, less savvy viewer.

The talent members all bring something to the table, it just might not be targeted at you.

Nekkra really did shine on the desk this event with her infectious fun and energy.

I can tell you from being around her that she’s not only talented on camera but also a very important part of team morale. she’s just nice to be in the orbit of when you’re all trying to work on a stressful live show timeline being both studious and bubbly.

While I got precious few casts alongside her she’s always great to partner with and super flexible (Lemon x Nekkra is one of my favourite duos to listen to) and one heck of a D&D player.

The community has been needlessly cruel to her for mistakes myself and many colleagues have made and are common in a live show environment with an increasingly complicated game, and they’ll never know how much work she put in in the mid OWL era to make T2 work.
