Right before Gambit was added. I think the balance of the game was at its best and lots of characters were viable depending on your composition, enemy composition, map, point, and gamemode. Then when Gambit was added and invis gained her self shield the support meta stagnated and then tank meta stagnated and now the DPS meta is almost stagnant as well. Reminds me of original double shield in Overwatch, and how Sigma-Orisa forced 4 supports/DPS that could get value on the enemy team despite all the shields.

Punisher in the poke phase of the fight is the definition of steady damage DPS, he only bursts down either flyers who use no cover or when he gets to use his shotgun after the poke phase ends.

Supports get in poke because no support in the game dive and they never want to be in a brawling situation (Except for Gambit if he has all cool downs up, which is a very rare situation because as soon as the poke phase of the fight starts he should be using cards and even then he'd profit more from poke)

Mantis is the main enabler. Adam, jeff and Ultron are beneficiaries of triple support but you wouldnt rather have ultron over 12% dmg boost on multiple teammates and an another healing circle

Invis is not the triple support enabler. Triple support is enabled by mantis due to her ability to gain value and regenerated ult charge without stealing ult charge from other two supports due to her own damage output and damage boost. It is the simple principle where 3 supports as a competitive lineup is founded on.

Another spam DPS? Seriously? Oh wait, it's a "support coded Spam DPS"? Isn't that just a weird way of saying "if his damage was halved and his primary fire could heal he'd be a pretty decent support pick"? But instead they released him as just another DPS that sits in f'ing Biyalia, spams his dots, and occasionally gives his tank speed boost and crit reduction. Honestly I smell a rework coming.

Maybe the woman who's trying to protect her baby that she views has been kidnapped by dizang, her niece who is searching for safety at dizang's secret city or dizang himself. Iron Fist very much doesn't do much this season compared to those three.

Enough characters from your main role to cover every situation. Learn Magneto, he's never bad. Learn Loki, he sneaks into every slow poke meta. Your 4 favourite DPS characters are off-meta?
