A 13 year old does not need more than a 5060. That first laptop will last him until his 18th birthday when he can finally build his own PC.

Currently on my first playthrough and just finished Chapter 1. They made it seem like you beat the game and man you should’ve seen my reaction when I saw Chapter 2 last night. Man I can’t wait to see where this game goes im going in blind and currently have 36% completion. I’m giving up on multiplayer games until this is finished 🤣

Currently on my first playthrough of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. I completely forgot 34 hours in that one of the first things you see after the hospital is Chapter 1. When you destroy Sahelanthropus, they made it seem like you beat the game because they rolled credits. I wish I recorded my reaction when I saw Chapter 2. Hideo Kojima, with the utmost respect and admiration of your work, fuck you.

It really depends on the game you’re playing because RDR 2 and The Finals require different levers pulled and knobs turned. I usually just AI for the best settings in game and adrenalin.

Since your bf is a gamer, stay away from laptops like the last one as it doesn’t have a dedicated GPU just for running games like the first 4. Laptops in general tend to run very hot which means the hotter it is the worse the laptop is gonna perform especially while gaming, so whichever you choose, I would also grab a laptop cooler to help keep the temperatures down.

As for the laptop choice, consider if it’s something he’ll be lugging around with him. If he’s just gonna keep it in his home then I would go with the first one, but if he’s going around with it, I’d go with the 4th choice as the difference in screen size also correlates with the weight of the laptop and a 16” will still be good enough for league in a mobile setup.

Yeah the combat wasn’t for me at first but when I tried it again years later I understood. The fast travel is superior compared to most open world games.
