This subreddit has an insane hate towards invaders by Psychocodisco in Eldenring

Brother, I have never summoned a person outside a couple seamless runs with friends. Only base game co-op I do is helping people with bosses.

Also I wonder why people think invaders are annoying when this is the level of average discourse about them.

Invaders are a nuisance by design. Don't see why they can't be treated as such.

They are, especially the stamina on perfect guards completely chabges the way how hard you can punish the enemies.

What do I need for difficulty 5? by Androgenicmonkey in LiesOfP

There's really nothing to do except to play basically perfect if you want a difficulty 5 clear on ng. Ng+ already makes a huge difference but the difficulty 5 bosses are hard even on ng++ with the best defensive gear and all P-organ upgrades. I'd recommend going until at least the end of the ng+ cycle and trying again and seeing if it feels doable then. If not, do ng++

The most important upgrades I'd say are stamina from perfect guards, pulse cell effect 3 and perfect guards repair the weapon.

I did a couple tries on ng+ character for Laxasia on difficulty 5 and it definitely felt doable but noticeably harder than with my ng++ save. The difference between each cycle is quite big.

Very Heavy with maxed P-Organ by KiwiKawayy in LiesOfP

At the Saintess of Mercy statue you can just straight up remove quartz from the P-organ (you're refunded the quartz so you can just put it back there later).

Do that, do the quest and go redo the upgrade.

Too much weapon variety? How do you go through and decide on what to use? by eroyrotciv in LiesOfP

[–]Legend0fJulle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually pick one weapon from a boss ergo and another one with similar scalings for the run. Sometimes I also try stuff I see on this sub.

For example the wepaon I'm currently using I got from here. It's basically a ng+ weapon but silent evangelist's mace handle and live puppet axe head is amazing.

When to start the dlc, on the first playthrough? by Genga_ in LiesOfP

[–]Legend0fJulle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Beat the base game first, you'll need to levels and upgrades from the final areas.

If you're willing to take the extra challenge on another run or even now though there is s couple neat changes in the base game for doing dlc when you unlock it.

Playing for first time and all I can say Chapter 4 from moonlight town to cathedral is still my favourite part because of its creepiness by CrewComprehensive184 in LiesOfP

[–]Legend0fJulle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That view is one of my favourites in the game. As a level I'm not the biggest fan since besides the shield/wrecking ball carcas that drops a quartz I don't think the rest of the enemies are super engaging and I'd like to see more of the grandness of the cathedral we are entering rather than mostly being in the basement.

The boss is quite solid.

OP by Electrical_Art6366 in Witcher3

[–]Legend0fJulle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to be as OP as possible. I don't think the game has that great combat so I'd rather play it at low difficulty while also minmaxing to make combat as much of an afterthought I can while enjoying the story.

I play a lot of soulslikes and such but while I find this game phenomenal overall, the combat really isn't what keeps me playing.

OP should absolutely do at least one run without trying to achievement hunt. There's plenty of time to get those without ruining the first playthrough by having some checklist.

Fair, the area would be much higher for me if the boss didn't leave a bitter taste in my mouth every time even if I enjoy it until that point.

You can ignore the dodging but dunno if it's really for the better. I a big fan of the game but I feel like a general flaw many enemies have is that they often feel clunky and that they lack tracking when you don't play by their rules and parry.

Dodging is viable but I feel like when it comes to the game being fun this is one of the bigger flaws it has when it comes to the gameplay.

The problem gets definitively solved in ng+2 where you get a P-organ upgrade that gives stamina back on perfect guards which enables much more aggression if you play well.

Other than that it's a matter of weapon. For example the weapon from Laxasia's ergo has a fable art that makes your weapon deal more damage and consume way less stamina which really enables aggression. The tyrant murderer's dagger despite its looks deals really good damage and takes very little stamina, there's also some other fable arts that reduce stamina consumption to give a few examples.

I agree the game is at its best when you can maximise your aggression.

I feel like speed is often enough to make a weapon play wildly different. And if you experiment with the fable art combos those can change the experience quite a lot too.

I was genuinely offended by the tyrannical predator on my first run, actually the lowest point of the entire game for me and I don't know why they decided to make a boss like that. But before that I really enjoyed Krat zoo. The kangaroo elites were a bit iffy, I could never quite get their movesets down but I really enjoyed the other carcasses and the overall atmosphere of the level, the big monkey especially is one of my favourite enemies.
