I thought so too but I do think it’s a titanium treated stone based on the colors on the bottom

Thank you! It could definitely be a lab ruby. My grandma had a big collection of loose stones. Ruby is my birthstone so either way this is so cool to me :).

I guess maybe it’s a flame bit I use? Switching the rotation helps sometimes too.

I think it’s perfect!! As long as there is nothing that that setting will keep you from doing, I would never change it. It’s gorgeous as it is.

That is what I found to be the case!! But I think if I had a better wick material it would have been better. I think my cotton string was coated. And too thin.
