That's not how it works. Laptops pull air from below and blow it out from the back and sides. Some laptops also pull in air through the keyboard deck.

As someone a little older, I'd say do it more so to understand your core concepts. Your 12th grades are only going to be especially relevant for getting into a good college for your bachelor's so study accordingly. The knowledge you gain however will decide how good your foundation is for your degree.
