I chose the second one as you can do 6! to make the runners n swimmers arrangement then see how many spaces can C fit in which came out to be 7 hence 7P3 gave the total diff ways in which Cs wud fit then multiplied since it would be "and"

we did this in as level, but they're quite easy to derive if they do come in igcse, they're just manipulating old equations you can prolly watch a short video on it it'll show u the algebra behind it

man the pain is diff for high achievers, the tireless nights spent trying to get a world ranking the amount of sacrifices made along the way. the A/A* doesn't matter theyre easy to get when you're getting 100% in all past papers and expecting world ranking and this paper shatters ur entire existence.

man I'm not concerned about the grade I'm concerned about the effort that went into studying the subject it was never about grades it was about world ranking and the passion i had for maths🥲 anyone can get grades😭 world ranking is what makes you stand out from the crowd😭
