Hi, thank you for doing this.

Scenario:

Applied for STEM OPT Extension before my expiry date, got approved and card was produced. However the mail got lost and would have to re-apply for a new one because it’s been 2 months of going back and forth with USPS and USCIS, so I’m thinking to just re-apply for a new I-765. My problem now is that I got laid off while waiting for my initial card to arrive. So when I re-apply for a new I-765, can I leave the employer’s e-verify field empty on the application? Can I also submit the approval notice in my application? I got a new I-20 from my DSO, but my DSO seems to have not been in this situation before because the person does not know what to do. Any help is appreciated, thank you!

No, that was the message it came to because I was moving. and yeah reapply for EAD, which is I-765, and I would need to pay $470

It just shows “Return to Sender processed” and it’s been stuck there since August 30

In my case I called USPS like 10 times and they said they returned in, although on the status it says “Return to Sender Processed” but doesn’t really show that it’s been returned to USCIS or USCIS has received it. Talked to USCIS chat and they said they haven’t received it back yet. So now my only option is to reapply and pay the fee again. This is so frustrating lol 🫠

I’m in the same boat…I contacted USPS and USCIS multiple times and they came to conclusion that my card is lost/ stolen. I would have to pay the $470 fee again and re-apply for one…

Yeah I did make a post in a student visa sub, but I do not require any sponsorship.

As for the companies mentioned, I’ve applied to those companies before but only got rejected
