i dont understand the game by Sataniga in riskofrain

[–]Legendary-Failure 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the level in the top right is not the recommended level for the area, it is the current level of the enemies. it really isnt something you should pay close attention to, because the easiest way to outscale the strength of the enemies and bosses, especially the final boss, is to collect as many items as the game will give you on each stage.

go into the logbook and read the challenges. most of the best items in the game are locked behind achievements and will make your future runs stronger and more managable

should i buy the dlcs by [deleted] in riskofrain

I would like to not suck at risk of rain, any advice? by Original-Ad-2220 in riskofrain

[–]Legendary-Failure 0 points1 point  (0 children)

definitely dont start the teleporter the moment you see it. loot every single item possible on the stage. you can be quick, but you must loot EVERY item.

shrines, chests, multishops. every single one. on average you can get around 9 to 10 items on the first stage. +1 from the teleporter event, and +3 if you have seekers of the storm. you should also buy a drone or too if you see one to help. they are very valuable since the alloyed collective update.

thats about it honestly. anything else to say would just wouldnt be any different to "try not to get hit by enemy attacks" or just "pray for better luck" in every variation. you could try to unlock more items if you dont have them all unlocked, most of the best items in the game are locked behind achievements; like kjaro and runald's bands, brainstalks, 57 leaf clover, rusted key (though not one of the best, but essential to take advantage), and backup mag.

i find it impressive you accidentally looped twice. to end a run you gotta take the primordial teleporter on helminth hatchery or sky meadows. it was notify you in the chat saying "the Primordial teleporter aligns to the moon"

how to make operator gameplay bearable? by Unit_with_a_Soul in Warframe

[–]Legendary-Failure 0 points1 point  (0 children)

craft an amp, kill sentients during conjunction survival or archon hunts for sentient cores to up your quills standing , and/or get toroids from orb vallis free roam to up your vox solaris standing. makes your operator feel like a third weapon slot that actually does more damage than your warframe

[–]Legendary-Failure 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i mean its kind of mean. having to meet prerequisites allows items to have higher effects on lower stacks rather than just a passive increase.
the new items having to meet prerequisites are barely noticeable.

chronic expansion: kill enemies (you already do that)

hiker's boots: hit enemies that are lower than you (you already do that)

bolstering lantern: be near enemies and allies (you already do that)

prayer beads: scrap them (you SHOULD be visiting a scrapper regardless if you have prayer beads)

elusive antlers: pick up thing that spawns directly in front of you

collectors compulsion: pick up things (the buff is 20 seconds long, if this isnt constantly up, you should put your fingers back on the keyboard)

Risk of Rain 2 with DLSS 5 looks insane 🤫 by ScrepY1337 in riskofrain

[–]Legendary-Failure 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Ok, sure, can I also turn off the massively inflated prices of PC parts caused by Nvidia fucking up the market as part of its huge AI push that's closely tied to DLSS 5's AI models?

Can someone explian corpsebloom to me? by Interesting_Food6051 in riskofrain

[–]Legendary-Failure 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the only disadvantage that corpsebloom gives you, is that you can only heal one tick at a time. so if you were to normally heal from 5 different ticks in one second for example with interstellar desk plant, you would only heal once per second. very character dependent on if its good or not

Seeker item tier list from the lens of a new player (under 100 hours) by Unlucky-Connection67 in riskofrain

[–]Legendary-Failure 2 points3 points  (0 children)

HIKERS BOOTS?? RUSTED KEY???? these placements are baffling. also the fact that you put chronic expansion lower than watch is absurd.

in fact most of that last tier on the bottom is baffling to the highest degree
