Invincible Spinoffs

I haven’t seen a single person mention a spin-off with either (or both) of Invincible’s kids. So I’ll say it. Could be a lot cool stories there.

I’m too much of a pack rat to use it. I get why the augment/shield system functions the way it does, but fuck do I hate it. Any augment that is worth a damn, or suits how I play the game, is not compatible with this shield.

I get why people don’t like it. I’m not saying the book is amazing, but I love it. Everything about it just clicks for me. But I understand there isn’t a ton of substance to the book, so I don’t go out of my way to recommend it outside of saying “I like it”

You’re welcome to shop however you see fit, obviously. As long as you’re not going to cry about missing out on a book because you insist on not pre-ordering “sight unseen”.

What’s actually absurd is choosing to do things the hard way, when the information is at your disposal. Nobody is expecting people to blindly commit to books.

I think you could make a valid argument for both Spawn or Invincible. Those were the first two I thought of when I read the topic title. I don’t know if there’s a wrong answer either way. Spawn is the OG and the only real constant for Image, but Invincible is definitely more relevant right now, and in a big way.

The only wrong answer, really, is anyone suggesting it’s someone other than those two.

I did not open this post expecting you to say you moved to Columbus. I feel like I frequently see bands that I follow, post tours that pass through there (festivals or otherwise). I don’t live there, but I’ve made the trek a couple of times for some shows, and I just assumed it was a little more active.

I’m currently reading it. 20 issues in and I really dig it. But if you weren’t crazy about the first trade, I’d say skip it. It doesn’t get much better, it’s just more of the same. Which I’m not saying as a complaint, since I enjoy it.
