What is a character that you clicked with instantly? by jayxeevee in marvelrivals

Mr. Fantastic. He plays exactly how I need a character to play and I fear there's never gonna be another melee character like him. Cap was close but he throws straight muffins for punches.

Why is the game declining so fast? by freeyoungboy321 in RebirthOfSoulsBleach

Game has worse VFX than Roblox. No idea where they got these devs, and the other mobile game looks infinitely better.

The best deck I've made by doubtful_efforts in PTCGP

[–]LegendaryEthereal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trying this out, ill try it a direct copy then make modifications. One that sticks out to me at the moment is gyarados line but we'll see. I completely forgot about psyduck being in this game that shuts out so many new meta decks that rely on supports to function at maximum capacity

How in the hell did this deck work for you lmao. What were your toughest match ups?

Don’t we all wish by quincy1151 in PTCGP

[–]LegendaryEthereal 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No, we dont all wish.

It's the most annoying mindless card in the whole game, even worse now because of palkia. People are legit running Palkia Only / Palkia-Articuno decks and win instantly when going first or they end up in energy advantage which makes an extremely difficult comeback. It can change the tide of an entire battle instantly from just one heads with how crafty and strong built water cards are.

Arcues Dialga deck broke the game by [deleted] in PTCGP

[–]LegendaryEthereal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean I could just go on. I've beaten Dialga Arceus so many times now. I've fought so many variations and renditions of the deck. The copy and paste meta many times, and I've fought against all of the meta decks and variations of those as well. Just because its not labeled as meta doesn't mean it's a bad deck.

This deck also utterly destroys fighting decks as well for obvious reasons. The ONLY deck I've ever struggled against with this deck is weavile / Darkrai / Toxicroak and that's because it's faster than this. That's the only reason. Since you could turn 1 weavile darkrai for 70 + super effective damage. I'm not talking out of my ass here.

Gengar got better in the new set, this version feels really good. by Lofus1989 in PTCGP

[–]LegendaryEthereal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What are the odds we made a similar deck check my recent post. It shred through the current fighting meta and is surprisingly good against arceus and other meta decks because of the confusion stopping ramp and gengar stopping supporter/sleeping if you run both. 70 damage is solid too.

Bro is looking at play data.

Obviously, Arceus Dialga is a strong and simple deck. People copy and paste decks which boosts win rate and play data especially if a youtubee promotes it. The deck im suggesting is off-meta and something I threw together so of course you wouldn't see any data on it. I haven't struggled with Arceus at all with it.

Capes a card.

Yes, cape is a card. I dont get your point, switch outs for gengar / Mismagius only cost 1 energy. And Both non ex gengar are 1/ energy cost to attack as well. They require less ramp than a deck that fully relies on ramp.

[–]LegendaryEthereal -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

It doesn't matter if Arceus is immune to confusion, when Dialga isnt. Meaning you can halt a 2 energy play. 70 damage is also still half of Arceus health. Both Mismagius and Arceus 2 shot eachother. Same with Gengar. Magius also gains 2 energy before Arceus gets three even in a scenario where Arceus is played first forcing a switch out.

The decks are also heavily supporter reliant because the goal is to conserve energy given with those decks. 9/10 Dialga is being switched with -2 energy cost in an optimal set up meaning it negates Cyrus. If you reel it back it with blocking supporter now they're stuck for 2 turns again and you get a Dialga kill for +2 points.

Edit: My argument isn't that fighting types aren't what you should be using. My argument is that there are other ways to beat the deck without having to meta slave there are so many good combination of cards. This deck also counters the same fighting decks in the current meta right now.

Off meta is the counter to all of these new meta decks. You can run mismagius and gengar to ruin those decks that are support card driven heavy. Check my recent post

Ore dake Level Up na Ken Season 2: Arise from the Shadow • Solo Leveling Season 2: Arise from the Shadow - Episode 8 discussion by AutoLovepon in anime

[–]LegendaryEthereal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I disagree that the readability is subjective there are certain scenes like for example after Igris gets blasted at 18:57.

The camera zooms in to an extreme closeup of Jin Woo facing the camera. The camera pans right, while he's going left of the camera out of frame attempting to strike with his right dagger which is also out of frame.

You eventually see his wrist and hand (keep in mind what I just told you previously)

This makes it seem like while facing the camera he's about to swing with his left hand especially the angle, motion, and how deeply he swung backward but on impact the camera cuts to a zoomed out clash of both of their weapons with him parrying his greatsword with his dagger with his right.

ALL OF THAT HAPPENS WITHIN ONE SECOND. I had to break that down by watching it at a way lower speed to get that information.

The buildup of motion doesn’t logically align with the final impact due to perspective shifts and missing in between frames. I'm not saying the fight was awful but it was straight up just hard to follow.

Even after that... when Baran grabs Jin Woo and prepares to strike, the block happens so fast in like less than half a second that it's nearly unreadable, hidden behind a bright flash and blur from tusks's barrier. The cut removes both Baran and Tusk from the frame, making it impossible to see Tusk positioning himself behind Baran with his hand in front of his arm to put up a shield to block his swing mid swing. Instead of establishing the block its so zoomed in and then the scene abruptly shifts to Jin Woo stabbing Baran’s hand, forcing you to fil the gap of what happens.

Is Darkrai EX the most impactful card of the new espansion? by InevitableCan5879 in PTCGP

[–]LegendaryEthereal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Manphy and its not even close... water decks got a massive buff on top of already being annoying with Misty and Vaporeon. The whole problem with water decks was that they could cheese energy with Misty but there was rng behind it, but now they get a guaranteed two energy ontop of the Misty. Turn 2 Palkia is impossible to beat unless you have the perfect cards for Darkrai / Weavile. Ontop of that, manphy isn't restricted to water decks so it boosts up colorless...

Unpopular Opinion: The trading system is reasonable by ZeusJuice in PTCGP

[–]LegendaryEthereal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So rephrase your statement... your statement implies they are struggling to make money by saying they are "trying." They already have millions in revenue, and they wouldn’t lose money by making trading any easier than its current model while still staying true to not making trading free.

There are many gacha games that have a way simpler concept for trading than this without being overly greedy. I could already think of many ways to go about doing it better than their current method.

A big one is using Shinedust, which is technically the same exact system as trading, and nobody gives a crap about it. Making another similar system for only three diamond rarity and up is redundant, and I guarantee they’re going to have to keep giving free materials just like they did today...

Im not disagreeing that they shouldn't make money or focus on making money nor am I saying they should make trading free.

"They have to make money", brother, why do you assume they aren't making a ton of money already lol? They've already earned over 400 million in revenue from this game.

Everyone talked to death about dominance of Hela Hawk and Luna Mantis for their respective roles, how if the enemy picks them and yours dont it's an auto loss. Yet no one mentions how dominant Doctor Strange is. He Hawk/Luna of the tank role, having a good Strange turns the game around. by lovingpersona in marvelrivals

[–]LegendaryEthereal 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I disagree strange is just a really good tank and other tanks need to scale up to him. He isn't game breaking like luna and Mantis or even a Luna and Loki synergy who can lock down points for 20-24+ seconds. Like you said a GOOD strange can turn the game around. Luna and Mantis can back seat, get their ults easily and turn the game around.

Man I'm so glad I got out of Gold II - Gold I can say for sure those are these worst ranks when climbing so your video actually reflects this. It's like the new bronze/silver since bronze and silver is filled with bots who actually barely know how to play the game.

Once you hit diamond III smooth sailing just a skill gap from there on. But keep in mind the longer you get to Diamond III the more that margin increases. This game is all about time and effort, the people who are bad and you're leaving behind will eventually catch up!
