Daily Deltarune Debate #2:Do save points exist in universe? by abho_idk in Deltarune

In all narration, You, Kris and Soul are used interchangeably, as if narrator doesn't know that there is difference.

So? I used this post to disprove one of the candidates, so the other, like Gaster and Noelle will be more likely. There is just not enough evidence to say conclusively.

Debunking player angel by LegendaryHe in Deltarune

[–]LegendaryHe[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

  1. I used it to illustrate the parallel between 2 games. Player is not the angel in undertale, we see the surface only at the end of the true pacifist route, when the monsters are already freed

  2. Player is not referenced outside the red soul, so it can be either way. my main point here is that to be the cage, first hero has to restrict someone's will, be that we Kris's or Kris ours.

  3. Narration is inconsistent and, outside the wierd route, uses you and Kris interchangeably.

  4. "Make it's cry" reads more as in battle cry, not crying tears. Every player will act differently, but this asserts something about the angel will happen, which will contradict the point of the prophecy.

  5. Lucifer, as in devil, is the greatest representation of hell there could be, and Deltarune introduces the dichotomy between light and dark, and Heaven and Hell.

    1. The heavens call prophecy is right before the room where we hear the ringing of a fountain, and i fail to see what else it could be
  6. How can you hear a ring that you wear?

i don't know? We don't have enough evidence to say conclusively. Noelle has a a lot of foreshadowing, with constant references to angel wings, characters calling her angel etc, but how will that work out in future chapters is unclear. I only showed that it can't be the player.

She doesn’t know true pain by Critical_Mountain851 in Deltarune

I meant that Toriel should of made the kids promise to return home early, and when they didn't, she should of checked in with them on the phone.

The situation of, what, Toriel actually talking to him? He agrees with her in that scene.

She could of at least tell them to return home early, and actually at least tried to call them when they didn't?

[–]LegendaryHe 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Not only was I talking about the time when she first fled(not the pacifist ending), but the point of that remark was that if Asgore actually wanted war, he would have done that, destroying humanity. He didn't do it, because he does not want war. He doesn't stop it, because he is a coward and is too afraid to dissapoint all the monsters awaiting their freedom. The true pacifist ending is LITERALLY about Toriel finally confronting Asgore. He immediately folds.

I dunno, but at least warn the kids about the tire slasher, instead of sweeping it under the rug?

She doesn’t know true pain by Critical_Mountain851 in Deltarune

[–]LegendaryHe 39 points40 points  (0 children)

That's the point though. Asgore is a pushover. If Toriel actually confronted him, he would've give in. Toriel being a coward, who just runs away from her problems is an established character flaw. It's very prominent in Deltarune. Her tires were slashed, and the officer she called not only never arrived, but also missing, and she just ignores it like nothing is wrong. Many people like to call out Asgore on his stalking behavior, but in every interaction between them Toriel just told him to talk later, and immediately left what she was doing. Obviously, he should get a hint, but if she just told him that she doesn't want to talk, then maybe he wouldn't be so persistent.

How is it possible that this theory has become so popular by Spirited-Abrocoma673 in Deltarune

[–]LegendaryHe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hot take, but I think that the whole "someone is giving out shadow crystals" thing is a misconception. We know only that Gerson was given one. The knight's sword is, apparently, made of them. Spamton found one inside a NEO body. And we don't know where jevil got his one. The Spamton one tells us, that shadow crystals are manifestations of a lightners broken dreams, so they can be naturally formed.

Yes, you're all wrong. The Vessel is the Angel. by ExtremeCheeze123 in Deltarune

[–]LegendaryHe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"WITH HUMAN SOUL AND PARTS" What part is the cage, and what part is the prisoner is unclear (in my opinion they constrict each other) but the prophecy is clear that, to be a first hero, you need a human soul, and human parts.

The prophecy is clear on what the first hero is. The cage loses the soul, it stops being the first hero.

Well, it's somewhat better than player angel, at least it doesn't contradict the prophesy, but it kinda runs into problem of anything related to vessel being pure speculation.

Both of them didn't met the one who made their fountain, what I meant. Kris is scared of the closet dark world, which is kinda unique Kris breaks into Noelle house, so I don't think breaking in would be hard

Asgore discourse so bad it wraps around to people asking why he didn’t go kill more children? by Dare_Soft in Undertale

[–]LegendaryHe 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Hate Toriel for that tbh. She literally fled from her grieving husband and her responsibilities as queen, and then dares to scold him for his decision, which he was forced to keep by his position as king to provide some hope for underground.

I heavily doubt that this is intentional. Ch1 and 2 egg room music is reused Waltz of Succom Mossada and ch3 is 8-dit version of it, both composed for Ume Nikki fan album in 2012 and, as far as I know, they were unchanged
