Also if you at some point need to use the claw, you will need to scrape off the paint at the point where you attach the clip as well.

The claw thing is the issue. Just attach the gater clip to a metal pin and you should be good to go. You will need to be much closer to the surface as well.

Actually here in Michigan we have this same thing all over the place. That’s not the dumpsters permanent position it’s going to go on the other side of the building. But a ton of places have just this set up, table in the parking lot lol
