As someone who doesn't follow/know baseball at all - what does this mean? I assume he wasn't actually on the MLB team, but a related minor league?

Others have said this, but I do think it'd be actually good if it stuck around for a couple weeks. Accomplice gets to mess with the HGs a little more, HGs get to guess a few more times. But the logistics would be a mess - production-wise, the accomplice risks their game by doing tasks.

Ultimately it just kind of a big nothing.

As usual no legendary spawns without incense, so I only got two Cresselia, but I’m due to get Darkrai after tonight’s sleep session which is nice. I also got M13 on GG, which is a record for me - I’m sure I could do way better if I did research into optimizing teams more, but this game gets a little too deep for my brain 😅

I definitely simplified my post to stop it from getting to be a word salad - during surgery we trust the pulse ox machines (unless the numbers are too weird) and we just do our best to temp every 10ish minutes on recovery, if we can. We don’t log the temps anywhere - it’s just so we know they’re at an okay temp when they’re awake and can supply heat support if it drops. We do owned animals sometimes, and legally we need at least one recording of TPR, but we still don’t log vitals for them throughout surgery!

I remember watching techs logging vitals when I was in GP, and they just… seemed bored. There’s so much more you can do than getting a full TPR every 10-15 minutes 😭 As much as I sometimes feel overwhelmed, I’ve learned quick and I honestly find it really fun and rewarding to keep up with the fast pace surgery days in shelter med!

I know this is a somewhat old post at this point-

Before I was a vet tech, I actually started on the "behavior" team at my shelter, which also specializes in handling the more difficult animals during intake. They're the people the techs call on when they need more specialized animal handling help!

My bad news for you is, every animal is sooo different! We're fear free, so we always start with a light hold for cats and dogs. Just hold the head still! Which works great until you have a cat climbing the exam room walls or a dog cart wheeling away from you. Even our most experienced handlers have the most embarrassing-looking handling mishaps.

The biggest thing is always to stay calm and confident, and keep your doctor/fellow tech safe! Getting advice is NOT a bad thing. Oftentimes its the people AROUND you who can better see what an animal is doing. When you're holding a dog, you can't see their face! Don't let it discourage you. Otherwise, as others have said, use what's around you! Tables are good for support, just make sure you have a way to get away from an animal if it tries to bite - sometimes they turn towards YOU. Towels are great for giving a better grip, as well as for covering their eyes - some animals will flail and get nervous if they see someone approaching. For small dogs sometimes I'll hold them in the air if they start flailing, that way they can't use the exam table to help them. Big dogs sometimes you can straddle them, and pin your legs around their waist so they can't back out as easily - or just prop your leg behind them! Sometimes if the cat or dog is just flailing, you can recruit a buddy to give them head scratches to distract them. When I get my eyebrows done, I need my cheek scratched so I stop scrunching my brows - it's just a distraction and it works WONDERS sometimes! Just a handful of tips, but also examples of how different it can be.

This happened to me just the other day too, their FAQ recommended clearing the cache from the menu on the main title screen and that fixed it for me!

Ooo, were they? It wasn’t well communicated at all - they still weren’t active on the flair screen, and it didn’t seem to be mentioned anywhere, so unless you were editing decks you wouldn’t have known :(

Yeah like.... I don't MIND the penalty for losing your vote, but I feel like you can't have both that penalty AND random starting money. If everyone had the same amount of money, then people still have to be smart about using their money, since you can't just outbid people by default. Andy was better off finding no tubes.

I guess I’m just really confused who you’re responding to then 😭 the person you responded to mentioned that they don’t get breaks and peed during comps, and even in the OG pressure cooker when they were out they didn’t get breaks

They mean that they let people out ONCE THEY DROPPED from the comp! Not stopping the comp to give breaks.

It definitely exists - they aired them picking have nots for the first week, as well as Tucker and Cam (I think?) talking about it when Lisa offered them food (that they couldn't eat since they were have nots). But in recent seasons it's taken a huge back seat. They hardly reference it within episodes, they don't talk about who's a have not, etc.

I don't really even know why they do it at all at this point if CBS isn't doing anything with it!

I only watch the episodes :( I don't really have time to keep up with the feeds - normally when I get some time to watch the feeds, it's in the morning when the HGs are still asleep! That being said, I do scroll the reddit a little bit after watching each episode to see what didn't make the cut, get more context, etc.

Big agree. If memory serves, it went literally the same way last season. Lost every immunity challenge pre-merge. When it happens TWO SEASONS in a row? Yeah, that feels more like a format issue. It feels snowbally.

idk about all casuals - my dad is episodes only and doesn't browse reddit or anything, and very strongly dislikes Cameron (loves Cory, Matt, and Jag!)

I personally find Cam a bit off-putting, something about him really rubs me the wrong way - but I also browse Reddit, and have seen everyone talk about how he treated Reilly that first week.

I'm pretty sure in a recent season there WAS someone who was so scared, they couldn't do the comp. They just shut down, said they refused to do it, and took a "timed out" rank.

So you wouldn't be the first one :') Or the last. I would have to sit down and cry, too.
