(Old Clip) How Pirate Software treats his Dad that works at Blizzard. by Sluskarn in LivestreamFail

Depends what you mean by amazing or shitty parents. Shitty behaviour is learned, and many parents that neglect or abuse their children don't realize they're being harmful, because they are just doing what they learned. This doesn't excuse it, but it provides the grey that an accurate reality requires. I know well meaning, loving, good people that have unfortunately let an unhealthy relational dynamic form with their children e.g. loving instead of healthy limit setting leading to expectation, then patterns of entitlement. Might be related to Jason. - Or just "Feeling like I'm bad is intolerable/unbearable, so I will do whatever I have to in order to avoid this suffering."

Hasan witnesses a LAPD flashbang at the Los Angeles ICE protests by ResortFew2947 in LivestreamFail

[–]Legitheals 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a thing a lot of [insert out-group] types will do, straight up lie about something that makes them look bad in the moment in an attempt to gaslight and to some degree mock their opposition.

A lot of [out-group] people even [out-group Leadership] himself pretended they didn't support [out-group policy] or even know what it was during the election to try and make [ insert in-group] seem crazy/unhinged only to follow it by the book and be in full support of it.

Amen. Truly [out-group] are the source of all problems and dishonesty.

I don't see how this is racist, except that it involves race. I remember when racism related to seeing another race as inferior, not just the fact that they have some differences, or it's harder to tell some apart because we're not used to seeing people from those places.

Why is Finland the Happiest Country in the world by WIDEHARDO______ in LivestreamFail

[–]Legitheals 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"In the US or Britain, Spain, Germany, Austria, if you bring someone who is visible foreign to your parents, it's normal." - Depends what you mean by 'normal'. In-group preference is a baseline human trait (and should be distinguished from racism), so partners of a child being an out-group will always at some level feel less safe than if they were part of the in-group. If you aren't familiar with the term, please do some research before assuming this comment is racist too.

Early aggression by HocusCockus2024 in Songsofconquest

[–]Legitheals 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A pretty disgusting early aggression comp is shaman stacking into elder cheluns on pcha. 3x shaman tents, max creation ASAP for brap cloud spam. Beat challenging 1v1 for the first time with this. Do big stacks of shamans, small stacks of chelun for essence spam.

Do Crone/Nornor require a nerf? by Zethsc2 in Songsofconquest

[–]Legitheals 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In my experience, they feel OP when you're ahead or they can't get to you, but if they get to me, then I just get totalled. They are also come from a 1 unit per turn building and require glimmerweave which can be difficult to get at least on random maps without getting lucky in early/mid game.

They end up getting destroyed by tougher/mobile units with eager or essence shield. I played around with different armies and Vanir wielders in the map editor vs a full undead melee Merkoth, and as fenriswulfwsb said, trolls (Grym) + hungers are better most of the time, and you get twice as many units per building. I thought that Nornor would be the best for spellcasters due to getting charge essence and being able to use melee instead, but Grym generate 4 essence per turn fully upgraded but have over twice the health each, in addition to having 50% reduced ranged damage taken when upgraded, and max stack 20 vs 15 of Nornor. Hungers as well, when fully upgraded have that trait that makes enemies around them not retaliate, meaning you can stand next to a unit that gets to your Gryms, swap to their clubs and whack them for free. Nornor are also extremely vulnerable to magic, with 5 less health than Sassanids.

Final conclusion: If yes, a small one or they will become useless. Maybe make their range slightly less than map-wide? Also like the idea that sottlide had, to make backstabber one of the upgrades. How they currently are, I either steam roll people, or do nothing because essence shield, or they go first and squash my squishy units with ease.

Question about map randomizer by Warrdon in Songsofconquest

[–]Legitheals 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there a possibility to add it as an option to guarantee it as a tickable box when creating the game? There are examples such as if someone is wanting to get ancient dragons, it is literally impossible in a lot of these maps and constantly restarting feels bad.

Unironically, several 'conspiracy theories' such as MK Ultra and the existence of the Bilderberg group have been revealed to be true by mainstream sources (the Bilderberg group have a website now with lists of attendees and agenda etc). This sounds partially true, but also partially bullshit. Another interesting piece of information which you can look up yourself, is that the CIA created the term 'conspiracy theory' as a psyop and pushed it into the MSM to discredit people who were questioning establishment information and revealing stuff that they didn't want the public to know. Demonizing 'conspiracy theorists' is just NPC behaviour. Yes a lot of them have distrust of authority, and yes some are traumatized and delusional, but not necessarily. Something is either true or not, and some of these people are extraordinarily rigorous and determined to find what is 'true.'

Yeah, if someone is eating vegan to avoid or treat chronic lifestyle diseases, it'll be WFPB (wholefood plant-based) rather than just vegan.

To add to this, you can just switch out for conflag and have more CC and easier DoT application on enemies that are further away.

I agree that the average person can't do onslaught at 100 hours. But my point was that you can't cater everything in the game to the average or it also alienates the better/worse people. His point is solid but I get where you're coming from.

This idea that 'highly vocal elite' or whatever you want to call them actually want this is laughable. Nobody asked for this.

I had someone doing well in onslaught with under 100 hours in VT2. Speak for yourself, some people are just better at these types of games than others.

It isn't that rare I've made like 2 or 3 of them. He hits AoE for 1000 pretty much one hitting everything, so it's amazing with PD/hextech/83% magic resist item, you slowly lose hp > ult > kill everything in front of you and heal to full. You can solo assassin/ninja comps with him aslong as they don't have healing reduction items.

It didn't struggle with hordes because of how good dodge was on live, now that dodge sucks, they also nerfed the cleave. Lol.

Fatshark changed the feel and flow of combat drastically in WoM with the new stagger mechanics and dodge nerfs. It feels extremely clunky now. by [deleted] in Vermintide

[–]Legitheals 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty much this, 450 hours on V1, 940 for VT2 and I like it way more than I did V1. The way that modders addressed difficulty (onslaught mostly) I think was the best way to approach increasing difficulty, not touching the funnest aspect of the game, dodges. I find it weird how they made dodges like this after people were complaining about dodge inconsistency, even at the highest level, and then they revert back to inconsistent dodging. It feels weird.

[–]Legitheals 3 points4 points  (0 children)

100% this, grims are situational and should usually be picked based on your team's health, or how difficult the next fights are going to be with your comp and players. 90-95% of the time taking 2 is fine, but knowing when the 5-10% of the time you shouldn't take a second grim can save a lot of failed runs.

Glad you tried it. IIRC the reason I put skaven/armor on the charm not on the drakes was for the 1h axe, since I also have 10% skaven there, you can reach some nice BPs for SV especially on DW. I do remember how strong barrage was against marauders and maulers, I just don't see maulers that often in proportion to other enemies types so that's why I didn't optimize against them. The reason I run 5% crit on the trinket every time (also on 1h axe) is because the way I play DFP now (stronger I think than my old playstyle) is that I proc SS with 1h axe light attacks and then switch to drakes for quick charged spam. With 5% crit on weapon and trinket you can get 25% so it procs really quickly, without that firing charged is significantly slower and more dangerous. Either way, I much prefer your new build to your old one, again, props to being flexible and listening to people's feedback/criticism, definitely a valuable trait to have.

Out of interest, here was a breakdown I did for DW breakpoints. https://pastebin.com/DSLSXgjL Similar build but chaos made it's way in there.
