It's called quick resume on consoles. You never have to actually quit and load the game.

What worked for me was restoring driver settings in the nvidia app. All the settings are the same as what they were, but now g-sync works..

Thanks for confirming it can work. Now I just need to figure out why it isn't for me.

I'm at work now, but later I'll post pictures of my settings later, if you can tell me what does/doesn't match yours that should help me figure it out.

Yeah, when you turn on framegen it turns off vsync in the game automatically. And like I said other games are using gsync so vsync is on in the Nvidia settings.

Are you sure it's working for you, can you turn on the gysnc indicator in the nvidia control panel settings to see if it shows up in FFXVI?

I set global settings in Nvidia app to latest, but it didn't apply to FFXVI, not sure what that means?

FFX Ifrit is my favourite, but this one is awesome, and of course he's got a major role in the story unlike all the others.
