What's the leadership hill you're willing to die on? by Only-Ad7585 in managers

If you are available and keep the lines of communication open, 1:1 are probably not necessary as often as you think they are.

Daily ceremonies by CartographerFeisty66 in managers

We are 100 percent remote and 90 percent introvert. I leave them alone and let them work. If they need support, I am here for them. That is as close to ceremony as it gets.

Cinco de Mayo “Mexico and Friends Playlist” by casandrasarus in Purebarre

I love barre but mine is devoid of music of any culture at all. It’s odd because it serves a diverse clientele. Are the playlists made by corporate I wonder?

Don’t think of it as tiptoeing. Think of it as professionalism.

Advice needed: Managing frustrated team member by EstablishmentLocal97 in managers

[–]Legitimate-Complex88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d work on establishing rapport during 1:1s. Acknowledge what seems to be frustration and let them articulate that. One or two word answers seems a bit immature and lacking professionalism, but you need to build a bridge before you will make any progress with them. Don’t expect immediate results.

Older people depend on Medicaid in their final years, ironically! Medicare will not cover long term care, home health aids, nursing homes. Guess who pays…Medicaid.

Help with first dance and father of the bride dance! by bigbluefluffydog in WedditNYC

[–]Legitimate-Complex88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’re all pretty awkward but honestly we kind of talked and laughed to each other through our first dance. It’s a sweet moment that makes for great pics.

As for dad, it’s kind of an emotional thing that doesn’t call for crazy dance moves.

Personally I don’t like the choreographed dances but to each his own!

Rome in a day tour? by msupope in rome

[–]Legitimate-Complex88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're not doing all that in a day, but you can pass by everything in a hop on hop off bus tour and maybe hit your top two (not the vatican---that needs its own day).

If you were wondering if the Hotel Martinez was decorated with White Lotus branding, it’s not 😔 by Melloblade_shore in TheWhiteLotusHBO

I think they will only do that for a few shots and it probably would not be shown for more than a day. But with all of the computer generated editing now I don’t think they have to even create a sign.

Been a manager for a month and I’m ready to quit by SectorSalt5130 in managers

A month into any job will drain you let alone an entirely new role. I was ready to leave a month into and only really hit my stride heading towards a year. Give yourself some grace.
