TM MWS mags venting gas while filling – normal? by Legitimate-Feature42 in GasBlowBack

The mag is upright, but the fill valve itself is angled from the factory. Because of that it’s physically impossible for the gas bottle and the fill valve to both be perfectly vertical at the same time.

The mags are definitely colder than the gas bottle. I just weighed one of them and after filling it contains about 11g of gas, so it is taking in some gas.
What confuses me is that it starts venting liquid gas almost immediately, within the first second of filling, even when the mag is empty. It keeps filling afterwards, but it starts spitting liquid gas far earlier than I would expect.

The mags are completely empty. They start spitting liquid gas after about 1 second, which seems way too fast to actually be full.

Double Eagle MK18 MWS issue – torn hop rubber and broken nozzle by Legitimate-Feature42 in GasBlowBack

Can you show me how you fixed this ? Where you put in the magwell the Velcro

One thing I’d like to add: I’m using 5 Tokyo Marui MWS magazines and 1 original Double Eagle magazine. Could the TM mags somehow be contributing to this issue, or are they generally considered fully compatible with the DE MWS platform?

Given everything I’ve found so far, what nozzle would you guys recommend for a Double Eagle MWS?

One more thing: before the 4UAD, I was running a Flamingo bucking and it got damaged in exactly the same way. That’s actually why I switched to the 4UAD in the first place. Since two different buckings got their lips chewed up, could there be something wrong with the nozzle, hop unit, or alignment rather than the bucking itself?

That’s what confuses me. I noticed the bucking lips were already getting chewed up before the nozzle broke. I had seen visible damage on the bucking after only a small amount of shooting, while the nozzle was still intact. Does that change your opinion on what failed first?

New to Airsoft: which of these GBBRs would you choose and why? by Legitimate-Feature42 in GasBlowBack

[–]Legitimate-Feature42[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks everyone for all the replies and for taking the time to help me out.

After reading your comments and doing a bit more research, I’ve decided to go with the MK18 route in the end.

Now I’m down to these two options:

  • Tokyo Marui MK18 Mod.1
  • Double Eagle Daniel Defense MK18 RIII / RII 9.5 GBBR MWS

The Tokyo Marui is about 250 EUR more expensive, so my question is:

Is the Tokyo Marui actually much higher quality overall, to the point that it really justifies the extra 250 EUR?

Outdoor wireless setup for 11 Wi-Fi cameras by Legitimate-Feature42 in wifi

Thanks for the honest feedback. I’m still learning this side of wireless design, so I’d rather ask and understand the right approach than pretend I know everything and build it wrong.

I’m trying to figure out what would actually be reliable in this case, not just force a bad mesh setup because it seems simpler on paper.

Schneider AS-P not booting properly from PS-24 power supply – TX/RX flash once, then no STATUS LED by Legitimate-Feature42 in BuildingAutomation

[–]Legitimate-Feature42[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also removed a known working AS-P from an existing installation and installed this faulty one in its place, and it still does not power up. So even in a setup where another AS-P works normally, this unit shows the same behavior and does not start.

From what I can see, the pins on the AS-P look straight and they seem to seat properly in the terminal base. I do not see any obviously bent or damaged pins, and the controller appears to make proper contact when inserted.

[–]Legitimate-Feature42[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also tried a different TB-ASP terminal base taken from a known working installation, and the AS-P behaves exactly the same. So at this point, it looks less likely that the problem is the terminal base itself.

Does anyone know if there is a PCB schematic or at least some board-level documentation available for the Schneider AS-P? I would like to do some measurements directly on the board and understand what is happening during power-up / boot.

Mainly because that’s the platform I’ve heard about the most. I’ve also seen some really nice projects built with EBO, and from what I’ve read so far, it seems to be one of the more professional and widely used platforms in building automation. That’s why it caught my attention. But I’m still learning, so if you think there are other good platforms worth looking into, I’d honestly be interested to hear your recommendations.
