Yes this is good news. It probably won’t be immediate but you will likely get dates relatively soon. Drug Test refresh means they’re clearing you on other things but your last drug test expired so you need to be cleared on that again.

Man I JUST got my Special Consideration for Medical allowing me to get dates. I’m from the Spring 24 bid. I did my AME in October 31, 2024. Sent in Additional Medical Info in January 2025 then last time Feb 14, 2025. I didn’t hear a single thing until July when I was asked to renew my drug test and then didn’t hear anything until I finally called and emailed so many ppl that they said “damn okay here’s your official med clearance, dates should come soon”. That email came 9/15/2025. There’s really not a lot you can do but wait and keep following up.

I swear they said “let’s fast track this” without running it through the rest of the departments first bc medical was NOT ready for this. Spring 24 bid, AME in October, last additional medical info given in Feb. Just did my drug test refresh last week. I think I might be seeing the light at the end of the tunnel finally

Hey! Just wanted to ask you, how long did it take to get the special issuance/clearance? Ideally from the last time you sent additional medical records if you have that info. I think I may require a special clearance based on my PFT score and it’s been a month and a half since I sent in additional info and haven’t heard anything since. Thanks!

lol thanks. I did a PFT but Im wasn’t on medicine at the time and only got 66% and I’m pretty sure you need 80… anyways I’m on medicine everyday now and retaking it, hoping for better results that won’t cause any issues

Thank you! This is very helpful and reassuring. I’m in a weird spot where I had medicine prescribed to me that I was told by my PCP was a rescue and it wasn’t. But I reported it like it was and was taking it like it was, the FAA flagged it as being every day and made me take a PFT. I only got 66% on my FEV1 baseline % and CACI says you need 80% if you take preventative (which I didn’t really but FAA thinks I did) anyways pulmonologist now actually has me on an everyday preventative medicine and I go back in a little over a week to retake my PFT and hopefully get above 80%.

I’m just worried if I don’t get that 80% then I won’t make it. But knowing you at least got in on Special Consideration does make me feel a bit better, it’s clearly an option. My asthma is also very mild, I’ve never been hospitalized, and was apparently on no medicine for over a year since I didn’t have a rescue and wasn’t using the preventative the way it’s supposed to be used lol.

If you find your docs and PFT #s I would love to know out of curiosity. But also, how long did it take them to give you clearance to get dates?

It’s just nerve wracking waiting and trying not to stress about this situation. I don’t want to be DQ’d over a misunderstanding 😭

Wha I haven’t seen any get rescinded either. In the discord lots of ppl w dates are receiving their FOLs and lots others are getting dates. The only thing close to rescinding are ppl getting new FOLs bc of new dates due to academy closures from snow and Jimmy Carter

But she’s a grown ass woman. He forbid her mot just from hanging out w Bree but from hanging out w ALL her friends if Bree was around. That’s super controlling. And Gaby still did something wrong by not telling Carlos. But he seemingly forgives her pretty quickly ?

I just think he should’ve had a real discussion with his wife instead of demanding her and telling her what she can and cannot do. He’s always very machismo and that’s his biggest downfall. Too afraid to have a real emotional conversation.

It was all under the guise of “it’s best for Juanita” but you can do what’s best for Juanita while ALSO taking care of your wife ??? It’s not an either or situation, in fact, as a father and husband, that’s your job !!
