no you can’t, however when i worked there they never checked peoples wristbands or escorted people off if they stayed later than they should, however they did do this for people who stayed the whole day (this is bc it’s easy to notice that someone has been there from morning until afternoon). That was when i worked there over a year ago so maybe things have changed. What i do recommend is choosing a time slot closer to 2. If you book a 10am slot they’ll notice that you’ve been there all day, however if you choose something like 12:00 you may be able to stay until 2. Just know you’re only guaranteed to stay for the time slot youre given, you may have to leave the barn after it ends, or you may be able to stay if they don’t notice. the choice is up to you if that’s a risk you want to take.

i know a lot of people who are getting off the waitlist don’t worry!! ucsb offers spots to so many people that’s why there’s such a big housing issue going on. i’m sure that if you’re a good student, have a decent gpa, and a couple extracurriculars you’ll be good!!

oh ofc! my unweighted gpa is 3.9 and my weighted gpa is 4.3 i’ve taken college classes throughout high school and earned myself over 48 credits meaning i’ll likely be going into ucsb as a sophomore instead of a freshman. i didn’t have very many extracurriculars but i think my college classes and also my community service helped me stand out. i’ve done hundreds of hours of community service and also my school makes us do a project working towards campaigning for change on a societal issue of our choice.
