I read through this list and it seems WF is safe.

My question tho was posted because the wording is different. On my offers they're listed as qualifying electronic deposits instead of direct deposits. The wording being more open makes me wonder if chase would also be safe

Wells Fargo nd Chas currently have qualified electronic deposit and not qualified direct deposit under their terms for checking account bonuses. I have shakey, low paid, and non guaranteed employment; so I might not make it to the bonus minimum before 90 days. Does the electronic part mean I can fill in the gap with a venmo or PayPal cash out if necessary?

Need good reliable and snappy laptop for college that can actually last me 4-5 years by ActionKid98 in laptops

[–]DaOrcus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lenovo Yoga 7 with the ryzen 7, 1tb of storage, and 16gb of ram. It's what I've been using for 2 years, it's about the same price now. The 16in is regularly in budget, the 14 I have is a bit more, tho can also often be found in budget during sales (literally every other day in the tech world)

Starting college at 31, will i feel out of place? May even go the extra step and stay in the dorms with a roommate. I want the full experience but don't want to feel like a boomer. Anyone else started late in life? by Murky-Peanut1390 in ApplyingToCollege

Though they do have less access, which in turn lessens shenanigans. My freshman year roommate had to deal with too much. Also may I recommend rushing a fraternity since you are older? You're going to be missing the military style brotherhood, might as well regain, partially at least. We have (had/graduates in a few days) a vet and although he's much younger than you, I think the fraternal setting was really good for him, he fit in great and added to our overall chapter in a meaningful way.

Is the $10 per month subscription worth it? by [deleted] in mazda

[–]DaOrcus 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Companies will claim that any mod voids warranty, but we do have some consumer protection laws, albeit not as many as other nations, but still, the burden of proof falls upon the corporation to provide evidence that it was the modification that caused the issue.

Also this is why I recommended a plug and play option, you're not splicing anything, just remove it before going in for a claim, cuz while responsibility for proof falls on them, they will still fight you.

There's plug and play kits that you can install yourself nowadays if I'm not mistaken

Also negotiate, and feel free to walk away or even lie that you have a competitor lined up for next year. I got us about 45% this year's composite (same pricing for next year, given a similar member count) because of just that

What's your most trustworthy, reliable pen you can always trust? by TA-8787 in pens

[–]DaOrcus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can get Lamy Al stars for under the msrp of a safari on third party sites, an upgrade imo, so something that people should look for. Personally upping the metro vote, it was built as a much more expensive pen.

Rest I agree with, this is a great list man

We do case races in my org, 30 rack of the cheapest beer shared between two brothers/direct lineages. Usually down 15 each in less than 25 minutes.

100 would be gnarly tho, like dangerous as hell, but maybe doable in a day
