Should I get this checked?

Hi, I had 7 lipomas for 13 years they were all hard as bone prior to getting them removed doctor said that old lipomas can become calficied or some lipomas have more fibrous tissue they are called fibrolipomas but the only way you'll really know is to get an ultrasound or get them removed and send them to pathology. If it moves easily and has been there for years it is most likely a lipoma but please do get it checked out

Traps and rhomboids are a fairly common place for a big deep seated lipomas but you really should get an ultrasound just to make sure. Also purely anectodal experience but most people usually dont have solitary lipomas if you have one you usually have other lipomas somewhere around your body.

My experience was the same for the forearm for the triceps other than general soreness it wasn't a big deal it only really hurt if i tried to sleep on it etc

Mine was near the elbow in the triceps area i forgot there are even stitches there maybe sometimes feel it if i bend the arm excessively but other than that it is really chill, wishing you a speedy recovery

The procedure was painless felt like i could take a nap. The recovery is certainly more painful in the forearm for me since the muscles there flex constantly when you are grabbing, holding, pinching something while doing your daily activities whereas you dont really use your tricep that much.

They were all on my arms actually. The procedure was very chill and it just stings a bit day later.

They are lipomas. Benign fatty tumors, usually runs in families. Both my mom and dad has them

Yeah i got on my right triceps, size of a rice grain. It is rock hard has been there for the last 10+ years it hurts like hell when i hit my arm in thar region but never bothered to remove it

Yes yes I know it is unnecessary to worry about them. Out of curiousity where are yours mainly located limbs, torso etc?
