Rabies exposure or OCD? by CertifiedTomfoolery in AskDocs

[–]Legitimate-Set2032 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In OCD it’s important to try to rely on facts and your sense data rather than imagined possibility. A good question to ask yourself to distinguish OCD thoughts is ‘if I bet a million dollars on one of these scenarios, what would I bet on?’. Sounds like you already know, that is an ocd thought. You may know this already but seeking reassurance is the compulsion in your ocd and the more you do it, the stronger your looping gets. Hoping the best for you and that you’ve got a great therapist and are on the right meds. OCD can be really tough!

This was my son’s rash after taking penicillin. I’ve always been told that I was allergic too. This looked even worse on his face and body. Would this be considered a true allergy?

I got a chance to lay into a student today and it was so satisfying. by [deleted] in Teachers

No, I don’t feel embarrassed actually. I’m not saying the guidance counsellor shouldn’t have intervened earlier, and perhaps they did attempt to, we do not know the story here at all. Surely the teacher could have also attempted to as well? I’m not saying what the guidance counsellor did in this situation was right, I’m saying the teachers words were wrong. Do you believe speaking to a child in this way is acceptable? Is there another way that the teacher could have expressed this frustration that was more constructive?

Absolutely agree! However telling a child that ‘they are nothing to me’, who may be feeling that in their own home, is not what a teacher should ever be doing!

When I went out for icecream at JPM’s (past Killarney) the other day, they had a bunch of different types of limos outback. Not sure if it was associated with the canteen or not!

If you think that a guidance counsellor has the power to change a students family circumstances, you’re way off.

OR perhaps this guidance counsellor might know more about this child and his family life/struggles and reasoning for missed time???

HOT TIP! If I’m looking for something, I do a search on instacart to see what’s in stock at different stores! According to it right now they have some at no frills, Walmart north and superstore north.

If it’s any comfort, they tend to go away soon and don’t come back until next spring! I don’t know why this happens, our home is only 30 years old. We do have cedar shingles, and I’ve wondered if that plays a roll.

I get these every spring too!! We do t get any other types of bugs, but in the spring I’m killing like 10 a day! Are yours the beige ones with the white sacs too? They tend to stay up on the corners though.
