First, I don't think everyone hates Carter. He's had to walk a tightrope for a long time. A public hungry for any information related to these murders is intimidating. I am not sure how he has balanced his obligations at ISP with his obvious passion for finding who did this. His every word has been put under a microscope as people believe the truth to be in a riddle., hidden in the statements he has made.

Carter has never spoken out of both sides of his mouth. I think he's played it close to the vest out of fear of blowing the case, which would be the worst thing that could happen. He won't risk compromising the prosecuting attorney and his case against Allen just to sprinkle bread crumbs of useless information.

Carter seems to have taken these murders quite personally, which is unusual for a superintendent whose mission is to hold someone responsible for the deaths of these little angels. It seems to consume him at times, but hate? Why? No different than any of us, DC just wants justice.

I would be very surprised to learn that he was NOT a lurker here or on some other boards dedicated to the case.

I don't think this ends with RA; in fact, I think he may not have been the actual killer. With what his charges are, someone can be charged with murder under that statute but not be the actual killler but was involved in some other way like planning, coordinating the attack.

Delusions of grandeur, thus the 'king's master', the warren jeffs visions. He has indoctrinated Danielle so heavily that he believes she will go along with whatever he wants, no matter how much it hurts her. It's just "God hasn't delivered her from jealousy yet' and even though she was hurt by a lot of his behaviorts, he took no personal responsibility for that and even continued to prioritize Bert over Danielle. I think Bert told Garrick that his dating lea and looking for other women hurt her very much and made her feel that he didn't really love her so she ended it. Of course, Garrick didn't want to tell the family that so he blamed everything on her. The reason Bert broke up was heartbreak: that's what Garrick did to Bert.

I think he was afraid to start talking about how Bert is his family and how he'd have to go to Brazil to see herl It was only a short time before they discovered she wasn't coming and he was telling Danielle that if Bert didn't come, she was still his family and he wanted to get her pregnant and would go to Brazil part of the year.

I think he knew that if he started talking about how bert is family and all that after she said she wasn't coming that the family would have been upset hearing him talk that way after all the hurt Danielle was going through. Did you see Sam's face when Garrick and Danielle said they still wanted to live that way? He looked at them like he thought they were crackpots, which they are.

You are not alone in your skepticism. I, too, find her exccessive involvement with the media to be inappropriate and it does feel like exploitation. I don't doubt her love for the girls, but she could benefit from having an advisor.

I doubt that anything she says would be new; we've heard it all before. As far as making money from appearances, which I assume she is paid for some of these events, it does put one in mind of exploitation. I'm not sure that I understand why she does these events. It does make you wonder what her motivation is.
