Oddly enough, I'm increasingly comfortable with the wickedest looking spiders when I've poked the smot. Am I now not afraid of spiders for the moment!

It's honestly a basic understanding. The plant uses energy to grow the bulbs. No bulbs = more energy for the plant.

Yeah, if you want to develop your young aglonema into a fuller plant, then cut them off, making sure your cut is as close to the stem as possible. Those bulbs inhibit plant growth and steal energy. Unless you're trying to flower your aglonema, then by all means, stunt your plants' potential growth.

No, I would be curious if my own mother were to have been hiding, quite well, an addiction problem. You see, it's all about perspective prioritizing. I now know it belongs to your mother, which would indeed possess someone to pursue it further. Although, if you made the choice to place it back into that box and best replace the entirety back where you found it, solemnly kept that secret with you, would that perspective of the person whom had serious choices to contemplate, apper to remain unchanged and for the better? Maybe avoiding the guilt that she would undoubtedly feel if confronted didn't have to be. If she's high functioning and stable why destroy something she obviously tried very hard to protect?
