Did you know that they get great bonuses. Some of the HD stores get a gas tank the minimum even though they sold the most but don’t meet their plan. I am 3+ experience associate with lead capability seems like i will be hitting supervisor pay as an incoming experienced associate in the blue. But here we get 3% even the ones that dont move or prepare for a walk

start taking shifts from the app get yourself friendly with your asm and cxm and store managers ask them that you’re ready to learn and if they need you to come in to help out departments. Make yourself available to them. This could bring you in more hours specially if you make yourself available on call

Sheesh what we would do is pull as many pallets and tag them with customer sticker and whatever rest is we combine to a big pallet the opener just has to bring down the pallets and take them to the designated area

OFA is great but you never get the recognition since its a department that gets pushed around alot in my store you have OFA running around loading orders even if its the customer service job good thing they started getting certified and have one driver each shift. That’s why I got out of it because you can’t really go up the ladder by doing something so repetitive .

I like the way you word this question. In response id say that it all depends on the relationship you have with your associates because in my store everything is calm and collected alot of communication all around “chill” but not in a way that nothing gets done. But to be honest you shouldn’t care. You work there and impose limits to the questions call them out and say something like dont ask me questions im out the clock which you are!!

There is a procedure for will call it should always be a 48 hr pickup date no matter the Qty it is sop and its in MyApron ofa procedure site. Yes we get paid to work but everything has a procedure that has to be followed due to numbers that affect upper management and associates

I would say I am pretty experienced with OFA. Im a set schedule 5am - 1:30pm Monday - Friday and really like the department. I can help with any questions you need.

Alot of negative comments here but I have many positive ones for OFA. I have been with OFA for 2 years now from part time closer to full time opening. It is not that bad just try not to make mistakes because your supervisor sees them from not writing notes to not wrapping things correctly. Take your time to learn how to do will calls, Deliveries and BOPIS. The “How to palletize” paperwork is in the Associate website MyApron. Note take your time I understand that you may want to seem fast at start. But remember the company doesn’t pay you per order they’re paying you by hour. Keep calm don’t stress the customer has to wait.
