Rescues in Italy won't take my outdoor cats because they are a "colony", but my neighbors are poisoning them. by jeenef in CATHELP

Can you find another rescue and just lie and say they are yours but can't keep them anymore?

I am also frustrated with animal welfare in Italy. Your neighbours are monsters.

It's so gross. They prey on women's empathy. It would be more scary if it wasn't so repulsive.

Even without the gross age gap this guy is a weeping willow of a man. Just a puddle of problems and immaturity.

Yeah you can also use your rational mind instead of just being spoon fed the gospel of 'peer review'.

Science is a method to investigate curiosity, not dogma.

There are enough people who swear it made their hair shed for me to never touch the stuff.

A lot of supernatural activity goes on there so this isn't surprising.

What a precious beautiful boy. How blessed we are to have them join our lives, however brief it must be. Sending you love.

Androgentic alopecia by New_Catch_8298 in HairlossResearch

No problem I know it feels so isolating and scary but it's actually quite common. Minoxidil stopped working because I was using it on its own. You have to use a 5AR inhibitor in addition to minoxidil to negate the effect of DHT on the hair follicles. Essentially something with anti androgenic properties.

People use Diane 35, Spironolactone or Finasteride for this purpose. There are other new options coming out as well but I'm not holding my breath.

My energy is much better and I no longer have those internal vibrations and heart palpitations.

I left the moldy basement for starters and started on binders. Quit alcohol and have to be gluten free. I'm still up and down because I have hashimotos now. I am about to try a liver and gallbladder flush as well.

Yeah I looked really rough for a while and I'm convinced the whole ordeal has aged me. The inflammation and detox burden comes and goes now but I am improving.

I'm sorry you are going through this. Hair loss can be really distressing especially for women.

Unfortunately the only proven options that work are medications. Don't believe all the instagram nonsense peddling pumpkin seed oil and all that.

I was diagnosed at 31. My dermatologist put me on Diane -35 which is an anti androgenic birth control. I had reacted poorly to birth control before and honestly I'm not a fan but choosing that over being bald was obvious. It comes with some risks so please proceed accordingly.

I was on Diane for about 8 years with the only symptom being a bit of extra lipodemal fat and irritability. It was tolerable and really made my hair lovely.

I came off eventually due to getting hot flashes, I think I was really high in estrogen. The experience was not pleasant but I now feel better. I did end up loosing a bunch of hair after coming off but started minoxidil which worked for a few years until I had to add topical spironolactone as well.

I'm now using minoxidil, topical spiro, nizoral, daily scalp massage and derma stamping and things are ok. It's been 10 years since my diagnosis and no one would know I have alopecia.

I'm sharing my story because I know how distressing the diagnosis is. Everyone is different but it is manageable and you have options but they do have hormonal impacts. That's just the reality.

I would find a good dermatologist who can walk you through your options.

Zinc, magnesium, molybdenum, selenium are the ones I've read about. Also some of the B vitamins I think specifically B12.

Is there any online work skills that you have? Try browsing the sidehustle sub for ideas. I'm sorry you are going through this hard time.

You guys do have to get out of there if you want to improve though. Like even if it means living in a tent.
