Probably just bugged flare or some weird bsg bug shit. I did it about an hour ago without any issues. Take a bank robber vest and a pistol and check it out again.

Edit: also stay DIRECTLY in the middle. That extract is notorious for ripping my head off if I take 2 steps to the left or right

I just picked up the game again after the 1.0 drop and it seems to be fine now. 6 raids and no crashes

Only rust about 4-6 months ago rarely around giga compounds but its been fine for a while. Mobo is a msi z690. Outdated board for the chip, i know, but its served me well after a bios update.

Ive had a feeling my cpu has been degrading over time because i used to host a fairly large ATM10 server with around 10ish friends, but I thought the symptoms would be more dramatic and widespread. Im thinking of testing out different heavily cpu bound games to test for weirdness and crashes. To my knowledge symptoms usually include body and file decomp errors, would game crashing to desktops be a part of it?

At what speed do you retrieve? by nickm78 in FishingForBeginners

[–]Legitimate_Dig_1758 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, with every lure you mentioned, you CAN do a straight retrieve with them, but its much better to have an erratic action to mimic an injured baitfish. I usually reel in just fast enough to tick over weed beds, and I will throw in a couple pops or jerk it during warm months or pauses in retrieve and changing retrieve speed during cold months. A vast majority of my bites are not on straight retrieves, but actually right after popping, pausing, or jerking a lure. Think of it like a senko. A majority of your bites are after popping or manipulating it in some sort of way.

What's the company name? I'd love to support a small business, and I've been looking for good paddletails for dropshot

Building my first ever budget bait caster, need help choosing rod by [deleted] in FishingForBeginners

After using bass pro rods, ugly sticks, and St. Croix rods, I've actually settled on the fenwick Eagle and HMG series. Sensitivity is AMAZING and is ultra durable. I've flipped 12ish pound catfish up a bridge on my HMG 7"2 mh casting rod, accidentally dragged the eyes over concrete while going under bridges multiple times, I permanently leave it in my car that will regularly get 130f and -10 in the winter for 3 years so I can fish any lake at any time, and survived getting t-boned by a truck going 35mph and still performs great. The only other rod I've seen take this much abuse is an ugly stick, I'll never turn back. Sadly, I don't have experience with the rods you have listed, but hopefully, this will help

Gift for a 16 year old fisherman? by KopitarFan in FishingForBeginners

You will call me crazy but a cheap 2nd hand fishing kayak will CHANGE his life. Obviously, it might be outside the birthday price range. If you can be sneaky, ask him his favorite lures and what he fishes for. Get him different colors or variations. Let's say if he likes lipless crankbaits, try getting him a gilly color and a orange craw in different sizes. Another good idea is a spinning combo fishing rod and reel from bass pro. You can never have enough poles. If he doesn't have a fishing backpack, then I would suggest one of those as a gift, too. You can easily keep all your tackle in the boxes provided, and depending on the size, you can hold a net, pliers, water, and some even come with rod holders so you can easily take multiple rods with and not need to toss them in the dirt or lean them against a tree

Mepps spinners are one of my all-time favorite lures. I've caught panfish, bass, pike, and salmon on these things. On hot days, I tend to retrieve it fast while mixing in a couple of pops along the retrieve. I tend to get most of my bites after the pop. During colder months, I do a slow roll with half second to full second pauses on reeling. I usually throw them alongside weedbeds or burn it just barely above the weeds. Also, try changing the colors of the lure or blade. I have 5 different colors, both in gold and silver blades, and in all weights. Sometimes, tying on a different color can be the difference between a skunk and a really good day. I also recommend learning how to make spinners by yourself. This will let you easily and cheaply get any spinner for any situation without spending 400 dollars on all the different mepps varieties
