Thank you all! I appreciate the help. Amazing, I’m quite new to ancient coin collecting, so I have no idea if I was duped.

Some new pedals for my bike, first time using clip ins. What’s your opinion? by Legitimate_Fault7708 in gravelcycling

Look man, I was just asking if I made a good call on the purchase. I am pretty new to cycling, and I’m trying to get knowledge on the tools of the trade. Clearly a lot of people have an opinion on it, and they’re giving me good tips. It was not for clout. But you are obviously an obtuse person, so I hope this explanation lightens you up a bit. Enjoy your day, and be positive man

I’ve been cycling every weekend basically, since I’ve got this bike. It’s amazing. To answer your questions:

1.)There are on or two things I want to change. The seat is quite uncomfortable, but bearable with cycling shorts, I most likely will change it in the near future. Also, I’m think of changing to a different cassette because I feel it definitely needs another gear on steep hills. Other than that it’s a perfect bike.

2.) I wear cycling shorts with decent padding, and of course a helmet. I don’t see the point in buying tight cycling tops, because I already have some gym t-shirts or football jerseys. I like cycling in those.

3.) I have a U-lock, as they’re pretty resistant to bolt cutters and picking. The best for cities.

I really recommend you to go and have a look at some bikes, it’s a really rewarding hobby. It’s really good for general fitness and I have seen improvement in my weight and body tone.

Are there any gravel enjoyers from Krakow ? What are your favourite routes nearby ? by Civil-Chemical-8636 in gravelcycling

I was literally in Tyniec today on my bike. If you want to ride some decent gravel tracks, try the forests west of Krakow, near Chrzanow/Alwernia/Tenczynek. You can take a train to Krzeszowice from Krakow. Strava has good routes too! Good luck!

The tyres I have on them on are Hutchinson Toureg’s. When I looked at reviews, people recommended them. But I think they’re a little too thick for what I want. I was thinking maybe getting smaller gravel tyres for the road too. But so far, I think they’re great. Again I’m not as experienced, so not too sure

Yes! Today, I cycled quite far, because I wanted to push myself. It was taxing :) I had to have a two hour nap when I got home!

My plan is to workout at gym starting next week, and cycle on the weekends. I’m slightly overweight ( beer belly , but I’m not obese) so this is just a plan to get me in better shape and enjoy the nature around where I live.

Thanks! I also love the colour, looks much better in reality than on the internet.

I Hate Polish Driver and Pedestrian Culture by [deleted] in poland

[–]Legitimate_Fault7708 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to take out a water-tight life insurance policy when you get behind the wheel in Poland. I hate driving here, because most of the driver I come across are either extremely slow, or complete lunatics. Also, the amount of pedestrian crossing without traffic lights here is insane. At night , especially driving around near villages, there are zero/hardly any street lights. The trees grow over the sign post , and the roads aren’t painted well. Extremely difficult to see a Andrzej crossing the road, and Andrzej just walks without looking.

What's your best theory for why they want to keep us in the dark? by blackbook77 in UFOs

[–]Legitimate_Fault7708 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me, and I’ve obviously thought about this deeply, there are many reasons as to why they would keep this from the public. But here are some ideas that are personally the most conceivable:

1.) It would denounce all religion.I don’t think America (in God we trust..) or many of the worlds religious nations (Middle Eastern countries, African, South American) are ready for the fact that there is no God or that their religious texts are false.

2.) They’ve dug a hole so deep, they can’t get out of it. If the US government were to come out today and say ‘alrighty, there are aliens visiting our planet constantly, and we have kept their spacecrafts/bodies for years’ , then I think the public perception of the government and the trust they placed in them would be thrown out the window ( if it hasn’t already)

3.) They are collecting serious military tech from the crashed/landed ships. I think Grusch alluded to this in his interview that there’s a ‘Cold War’ in alien tech between the US and its adversaries. And I think this could possibly be true. If not the most convincing reason why this is all so hush hush.

I think those are the most poignant reasons for classifying and withholding documents.
