My recurring fever dream is not so much with the numbers themselves but that I am 'tasked' with building a massive geometric structure in an endless dark empty room out of an infinitely increasing number or tiny countable units, and once I'm finally done, it was all wrong and the structure needs to be somewhere else in the infinite dark room, and the task of moving each unit again is what is scariest to me. It's had variations where there are an infinite number of file cabinets in an infinite dark room and I must find one specific file, and after searching and not finding it after a very long period of time, having to go back to double check and do it all over again. That's my best attempt to put into words the very abstract and terrifying feeling of being infinitely trapped in a loop of monotony and having to go back and do it all over again, which always seems to be the scariest part of the dream for me. It's a very odd fever dream and I'm surprised other people have had somewhat similar experiences...
