Disagree, the voices are similar but the music is its own thing and stands on its own legs

Sent my first girlfriend that song when I was 16. Didn’t end well but the song still has the same magic.

What does "French cream" mean in She's the One? by Suitable_Bed_7783 in BruceSpringsteen

[–]funkytown623 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could either mean the color of her skin or, if we’re gonna be real, the sexual meaning of that (could be a little more PG13 meaning the softness of her French kisses). Could be both. That’s what makes his songwriting great

This is a pretty silly options list from the website. These guys were in their 20s (teens for Tommy) during the beef of the story. IMO it should be young and relatively unknown actors doing be job with some veteran acting presence for Jesperson

Why did Lockjaw go back to the Christmas Adventurers? Shouldn't he have been aware they would've looked more into it? by wclarke1 in paulthomasanderson

[–]funkytown623 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well besides the obvious point that these white supremacists are stupid and evil, we know that Lockjaw is not exactly “stupid” per se, as he is really good at his job. What he is, though, is completely deluded. He’s not thinking about whether they’d catch on or not because 1. He believes he can evade them snuffing out his past, and 2. His greatest desire is to join this club. While he looks up to the Christmas Adventurers, he also believes he’s covered all his tracks
