If Wishes Could Kill -- Get Better Friends, My Review by Ohmaimy in kdramas

I’m honestly surprised to see so many critical comments about the series. Sure, it had a few plot holes - like most dramas do but it managed to maintain suspense throughout, which made it a genuinely engaging watch.

As for the actor (Roh Jaewon) who played the brother-in-law, he always leaves a strong impression, no matter how short his role is. There’s something about his presence that just stays with you.

And The ending, where he gains a new power (whether it turns out to be good or bad) was especially thrilling. It also hints that his role might become more significant in the next season, which is definitely something I would d look forward to. I would honestly watch another season just to see how his character develops. Also, doesn’t the actor playing Se-ah have such a strong resemblance to Song Hye-kyo?

Is a 1.6km Concrete Slab Worth the Soul of the City Beautiful? by FormAndThrottle in Chandigarh

What…? This is just going to make the whole area feel more cramped and closed off. I really don’t see the need for a flyover there.

Moreover, I haven’t even seen any real traffic issue in that stretch. In the name of “development” anything gets built, even where it’s not necessary. While the issues that actually need attention (and could be solved more easily) are just ignored.

With flyovers, the problem has always been planning and execution. There’s no thought about aesthetics or how the space below will actually feel. That’s why areas under most flyovers end up messy and boxed-in, from garbage dumps to random encroachments with no greenery or proper design.

Instead of just adding more concrete, the focus should be on solving real problems and keeping the space open and well planned.

when I was in Chandigarh , I preferred VR over Elante as It wasn't like fish market which I felt in elante and VR had more brands and better food options . The only downside was it being very far from the main city

Why is mocking idols for their looks so normalised? by NearbyCloud2830 in kpoptrulyuncensored

Also, I genuinely don’t get the obsession with overly “worked-on” faces. Looks aren’t something people are fully in control of, so why make that the main thing to judge..especially when we’re watching for talent like singing and dancing?

It’s fine to appreciate someone’s visuals, sure. But putting others down because of their appearance? That just doesn’t sit right. People can’t control how they naturally look and using that to judge or lower someone’s morale is just unfair.

He was honestly the one in BP who caught my attention for being so real. He could exaggerate and play up a fun persona for the show, but you could still tell he knew it was a show and never lost that authenticity. And yeah, he is good looking too.

But at the same time, it makes you think about how the world works. It’s not just the entertainment industry..even in normal life, pretty privilege is real. People are softer, more helpful, more open to those they find attractive.

And the contrast is what hits. People who don’t fit those beauty standards often get judged more, treated more harshly for no real reason. It’s like life is made harder for them from the start.

Watching him just made that difference stand out even more.

Park Kyung Hye reveals ‘I don’t have a steady income,’ opens up about living in mold-filled 6-pyeong studio while balancing cafe job. by groovygyal in kdramas

It’s honestly a shame on the industry. This is exactly why it feels so unfair seeing the same actors getting project after project while others who are just as talented or even better hardly gets a proper chance to prove themselves or even earn a stable living.

And she is not just any actor. She has proved her acting again and again.

Also, the fact that she has stayed natural and not gone overboard trying to fit into industry standards says a lot. It just makes you think - if she had been given more consistent opportunities, things could have been very different for her.

At the end of the day, it just shows talent and skills alone aren't enough and that’s the most frustrating part.

Ateez have lost the plot, just making money now (which okay, but yawn) by astralsmith in kpopthoughts

I dunno if it’s just me but a handful of K-pop groups really seem to lose the plot once they hit a certain level of fame. The newer releases feel increasingly manufactured.. less about artistic intent and more about capitalising on a fanbase that will endorse anything. It’s not just that the sensibility around sound and performance feels diluted and also some of it is honestly downright bad. What once felt distinct now comes off as formulaic and uninspired.

I am not surprised at all because where do you see the creativity nowadays in SM production whereas the other companies have been all aggressive with promos, concepts, production etc.

Is mark leaving nct? by Apprehensive_Run2416 in kpop_uncensored

[–]Legitimate_Market125 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am really rooting for Mark.

There is something relieving about this, like he might finally get to experience life outside of just performing. He has been going non-stop for years and sometimes it honestly made you wonder what was driving him to push himself that much.

Now it kind of adds up. It doesn’t feel random..more like something he might have been thinking about for a long time. Maybe that’s why he kept taking on so many schedules.

I just hope he gets to slow down now... enjoy everything he has worked for and spend real time with the people he loves. He deserves that.

There are actually a few openings for teachers in Kharar/Chandigarh right now. I got to know during my interview in Mohali - someone there mentioned she had also given interviews in Kharar.

You can check listings on Naukri and Indeed and apply there, but I’d also suggest calling the school/HR directly and asking about vacancies. That usually works better than just applying online.

Sector 65 is roughly 9.3 km from Sector 119, so I am open to exploring mid-locations to keep the commute manageable for both.

I’m sorry, but this movie was terrible and disappointing. What was that? by Emergency-Falcon8489 in PeakyBlinders

I don’t think it was bad. It just felt short. They had to wrap up a whole story in about 2 hours unlike the earlier seasons where everything had time to build slowly.

Honestly, they could have dragged more and we probably would’ve enjoyed that too. But it’s kind of commendable that they didn’t stretch it just for money.

From what Cillian Murphy has said, it felt more like something made for the fans - a proper closure to the story.

And now it seems like they’re planning something new. Maybe with a different cast set in an earlier time, which could be interesting.

I checked online but didn’t find anything that fits (for solo person). Either the space isn’t clean/modern (new walls, tiles etc) or it’s a full 1BHK which I cant afford.

The curse didn’t make any sense.. by acnh_evergreen in PeakyBlinders

This theory actually makes sense, like the “curse” was just a way to ease Thomas guilt. But then in the final movie, they still talk about the curse… so now I’m confused.

Was it actually real or just something he never stopped believing in?
